A Night in Fantasia is Australia's premier orchestral concert of music from some of the most well-known Japanese animation and electronic games ever created.
Led by conductor Phillip Chu, with over 50 musicians live on stage, this evening of symphonic splendour will take place at the internationally renowned Sydney Town Hall and, for the first time ever, the Melbourne Town Hall.

This year, the fusion of a full orchestra against a giant back-drop of high definition Studio Ghibli footage will create a world's first truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Featuring the Eminence Symphony Orchestra, A Night in Fantasia 2006 will feature the following special guest artists:

Guest Artist: Youmi Kimura
Original singer and composer of Oscar Award winning "Spirited Away" and composer for "Howl's Moving Castle"

Conducted by: Phillip Chu

Concertmaster & Violin Solo: Hiroaki Yura
Winner of the Etoh Toshiya International Violin Competition

Piano Solo: Alexey Yemtsov
Winner of the Prokofiev and Horowitz International Piano Competition

A Night in Fantasia 2006 will also feature:

Studio Ghibli
Works of Joe Hisaishi, composer for Hayao Miyazaki's animated masterpieces, will be heard, from the beautiful melodies of the Oscar-winning Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind to the recently released Howl's Moving Castle and more...

Final Fantasy
With over 60 million copies sold, the phenomenal success of the Final Fantasy series with its breath-taking music has swept the world with sell-out concerts. Its composer, Nobuo Uematsu, has been deemed a Time Magazine 'Composer of the Century'.
ANIF06 will also be premiering music from Final Fantasy XII.

And for the first time...

The Eminence Symphony Orchestra will play a piece from Sony's latest Shadow of the Colossus and Namco's Katamari Damacy!
