Eminence proudly presents Piano Stories IV, featuring a wide range of music from Final FantasyŽ, as well as other game titles such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Tetris & Xenogears. The concert will also present music from Japanese animation titles including Noir, My Neighbour Totoro, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Azumanga Daioh, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Fullmetal Alchemist as well as Gundam Seed & Gundam Seed Destiny.

Continuing to bring our concerts to both Sydney and Melbourne, the latest instalment of our piano series hopes to inject something fresh; the addition of several different video game titles and a couple of different styles from anime will provide our audiences with a different approach to the piano.

The concert will be performed by Krzyzstof Malek, whose piano wizardry has reached over 14 countries around the world. The Polish born genius graduated with the highest distinction for extraordinary achievements from 'The Special Talents Schools', the Z. Brzewski State Music High School in Warsaw in the class of Professor Teresa Manasterska. His mastery led him to become a Prizewinner in the 1997 Paderewski Competition in Poland and in 1999 his sharp talents earned him second prize at The Chopin International Competition in Vilnus. 2000 saw him become Manasterska's student at the Fr. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, and he performed the Beethoven Concerto at the famous The National Philharmonic Hall. In recognition to his achievements he was awarded the most prestigious prize-scholarship by The Polish Ministry of Culture. He also demonstrated his flair at the European Piano Forum in Berlin in 2001, and in the same year he was awarded First Prize at The Bacewicz International Competition in Lodz.

Krzyzstof completed his study in 2002, and was then invited for full scholarship studies at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, and in 2003 he played a special Chopin recital to a full house at The Polish Embassy Hall in Canberra and after a long, standing ovation he was invited to return to Canberra a year later.

In August 2005 he performed a special Chopin recital at The Polish Consulate in Sydney and was received enthusiastically with standing ovation and many further invitations. In 2006, playing Chopin once again, he debuted in Canada, after which he was invited to give a Chopin recital in Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver, which is scheduled for early 2007.

This year's Melbourne concert is an official Manifest event, and will take place on the Saturday of Victoria's premiere anime festival. Please note that entry to the concert does not require attendance at Manifest, although we certainly encourage people to attend; Manifest is an experience you won't soon forget. For more information about Piano Stories IV in relation to Manifest, please see our media release.

The Piano Stories concert series is known to sell-out in Sydney, and having completed a full run of concerts in Melbourne we anticipate a similar result. Don't be the one to miss out, ensure your place by purchasing a ticket before the night; you'll also save yourself up to $15 per ticket!!

We shall also have a trader's table at Manifest at which we will be selling tickets and merchandise, feel free to stop by!
