Hmm, you have your point about not listing the Good and Bad tracks, but I still like the idea of having a little blurb at the beginning to tell me about the music in brief before I dive into the extra long details.

@Wander
I think you're confusing a formatting issue over a scoring formula issue. The goal of setting up formatting is to ensure a consistency between reviews so as to allow for better comparability (well, as much as it's reasonably possible anyways). The new formatting setup that I proposed will not have a numerical score component to it at all (I agree with your thought that people will have a tendency to misconstrue numerical ratings without reading what the rating really means, hence, why I use a descriptor for my album reviews on my blog).

Hope that clears things up!

EDIT: Made changes to my review of ARIA the Animation. Hope this works for people by making it easier to read without dumbing down the review itself. :p

This caught my attention straight away:

"What to expect: Light, flowing guitar and piano melodies that bring to mind the calming, majestic aura imbued in of ARIA's beautiful setting while also capturing some of the more emotionally-revealing moments in the anime series."

Brilliant. =D
Please keep it up!

hey zp, I have a request! I know we're both staff but I thought I"d put it here.

Can we get some serious Kouhei Tanaka coverage on the anime side?

I'm a big fan of his game music (Alundra, Sakura Taisen). But I know he's done a lot of anime work as well. Do you have any exposure to his stuff?

Alongside Sakura Taisen anime, he's done Gunbuster (OVA and a movie), Violinist of Hamlin, the Galaxy Express 999 movie, some Gundam, and more. Or I could just link you to the wiki...

Let me know what you think!

Haha Patrick.

I see him everyday. Remember Eminence is represented by IMAGINE in Japan. I even have a desk there.

Holy crap, what a coincidence. I was listening to his music from Angelic Layer today and thinking to myself that I should review that album as an example of anime music where the tracks are short (less than 2 minutes), but the album as a whole is enjoyable. Consider it done! :3

GASP!

Hiro, you have *got* to get Tanaka to collaborate on some Eminence projects.

zp, glad to hear it. I look forward to the review.
