Just making a post about what event you miss the most.

This is not an announcement of a new concert or however we would like to base this survey for our next concert.

Hmmm... I see some people voted before I did but no explanations for Hiro yet? Anyway, here's mine...

I've only attended three concerts (two types) so far and enjoyed them immensely so that's my reason for voting for "small ensemble" (I attended Destiny and Destiny Reunion) and A Night in Fantasia concerts. I voted for Piano stories too because while I have never attended one yet, I really, really want to.

Since the three types I voted for are the same three types nearly everyone before me voted for I think I can speak for them to an extent.

Basically, we want to hear game and anime music with classical instruments. Well, that's what I want anyway. Hope this is useful...

I really do enjoy the piano stories series as it gives a completely different perspective to what i normally hear from iconic game/anime songs.
However in addition to that nothing can beat hearing any song orchestrated live, listening to it any other way just does not come close. That is why i voted the way i did.

I voted for ANIF-style orchestral, because they are just so much fun. Although ensemble / solo is also good, I think ANIF creates a really good atmosphere, 07 at Hamer Hall in particular.

Whilst I'm sure everyone comes to Eminence to hear anime / video game, I think mixing in some "mainstream" classical music can also work. ("Old century edition" Evangelion in particular immediately comes to mind)

The A Night In Fantasia concerts are always are hit; as they're very very epic. With an orchestra, your really showing the extent to which music in the video game and anime industry can reach; with large-scale concerts.

I like A Night in Fantasia because it features the full orchestra. I like music that sound "powerful", and ANIF did just that. I'm not really a big fan of quintet in this case.

I love piano solo as well, I'm actually a classical (albeit very amateur) pianist and has many collections of classical piano solo and concerto works. So I'm looking forward to piano stories.

I also like a combination of orchestra and rock. Such as Advent: One-Winged Angel or perhaps even Moon over the Castle.

hm...as for me it's more of that the very first music of eminence that i heard was night of fantasia that is why i always look forward when i hear about it (i noe it's a weird reason but bear with me:P ) but i must say that i think anything is good seriously (basically cause i think almost all forms of music is interesting except one or two). If it sounds good, i dun think anything would make a difference to me^^but same as infernus_crusher, i'm a pianist so piano stories does make me sit up immediately at the thought^^

ANIF for the obvious reasons.
in the "vision" or eminence didn't it say to introduce gamers and anime fans to classical?
I think an ANIF with some (maybe one or two pieces) or classical would be great. Appreciation of classical music really needs to kinda sink in, it really can't be learnt overnight, in my opinion. And that would be a good intro.
Music with a screen of scenes makes it more interesting to non-music-people. As in, people who can't reeaallyy sit down for 2 hours just listening to music (and watching people play). It might be distracting from the music sometimes, but, you always have the option of not looking at it?

Sometimes the images can complement the music if they are planned right (rather than just having random video/images maybe have some purpose to the music progression/what appears on screen)

totally voted for a night in fantasia and destiny!

because a night in fantasia is just so.... mangnificently awesome, everytime i go i come out in awe and sooo incredibly moved, the entire orchestra's sound intertwined

and destiny is definitely one that i miss, it was the first concert i went to in melbourne, eventhough its a small ensemble, the sound created is amazing and when there's less audience, the atmosphere and the interaction between musicians and us is just more entertaining

I just love watching the action on the big screen while the music's playing in the background and you can see the emotion on the orchestra...outstanding stuff!!

oh yeh, i just remembered, the first concert i went to was destiny in like 05 i think in melb, and the song "summer" by joe hisaishi just hit home, i don't know why, but that is the song the i remember most clearly, and i remember it was for a car ad i think :p it wasn't even for an anime or game, it was just.... so nice right after that concert, i found so much piano sheet music and just practiced for ages.... untill it wore off lol but now i still play summer :p

I havent been lucky enough to go to one of the conserts but I am still a great fan! If I could go to one it would be night of fantasia.. Ive seen so many videos in youtube and its amazing~. I wonder when the next consert is going to be :O . I hope I get to expirience the magic of eminence one day

While I love the Night in Fantasia Series, I really do enjoy the smal ensemble concerts as well. I'd also like to see Eminence do a non-anime/game concert here in Melbourne simply because they haven't done one down here since I started attending the concerts.

My ulterior motive to this is that I think I would be able to sell heaps of the WOJW cd at that type on concert and I would like to try and prove my theory. =P

Ok I missed the deadline for voting (coz I just joined today duh), but I'll cast my vote here.

My most memorable/favourite/missed concert is "Destiny-Dream time Ensemble". It was the first time I saw Eminence perform, and loved them (you?) ever since. The musicians were so passionate and enthusiastic in their performance that even the audience could feel it. It was just awesome!!

Hope there's another similar performance coming soon!!! Even better if there'll be one held in MELBOURNE *hint* *hint*

I have a similar problem to JuNe6. but i too will cast a vote.

i would like to see piano stories, ANIF or a small ensemble.
also, it would be nice if it was in the uni holidays, so i dont have a sad thrown at me for skipping and catching a plane lol.
