Where've the Sydney concerts all been held? Basically in the city, right?
Do a lot of you guys live nearby? How do you all get there? I'm a Westie and well, dry on options about getting to concerts at night. I'd drive or take the train but these are 'not on' by folklore* and parental law respectively.
*Extravagant way of saying I'm always told there's no parking in the city
Sorry if this is a useless post. It's just bothering me... |

Syd concerts have been held at both the Sydney Town Hall and Verbrugghen Hall at the Conservatorium of Music (near the Domain).
Nearest train station to Vebrugghen Hall is Circular Quay.
Nearest train station to Sydney Town Hall is, well, Town Hall!
There is parking in the city, but it's not cheap.
Before most concerts we usually publish a FAQ on the forum, in the Event Discussion board. Covers transport and parking options. |

Parking ranges from 10 to 15 bucks flat rate after 5-6pm in the city
There's plenty of parking, if given a car.
And yes, usually transportation details are covered in detail via the wiki i usually publish out on every concert. More importantly how to get to the venue
I dont live near the city myself and also a westie too and usually drive myself and other staff to the venue, given enough space O_O;;
GO WESTIES \o/
Training is a good thing, but getting back home after a concert...you cant stay around for long.
I recommend not traveling alone at night either, even if its just for the evening concert. |

Haha yeah go westies ...
Okay thanks, I'll have to look out for that. I got dropped off at the last concert by my father ... which amounted to the same thing as he said he drove around and around the city and rang me basically the minute the concert ended so I had to leave then |

Erm...was that at Passion?
I remember one parent took my car park space at the Con, while i had to do a delivery drop off and come back. When i came back a parent, father, took my spot. I had to ask him to leave, the spot, hope it was angry over it. He said he was waiting for his daughter. Now what are the chances that that was a coincident eh?
lol
XD
Yea, basically any parkings that are too good to be true, usually means its staff con parking |

Hahahaha!
It might not have been him then.. Sorry about that if it was, though!
Yeahh, we learned from the first time we had to go there for an exam and tried to drive. But to be fair I didn't really know what time to tell him the concert would finish, so he came in a bit too early.. |

Ahh poor you.. I can sympathise... I live in the west and used to have overprotective parents until I got to uni... but I mean.. what the hell, it's not like you're even going to a rock concert or clubbing. lol. They should be happy you're going to these sorts of things... hahah
Best thing I could suggest is for you to find a group to go with. Especially if it's a group they know... Parents seem to be more happy if you go with a bunch of people that they feel won't do harm. If you're in high school... suggest it to your music teacher and make it an excursion.... then you're "obliged" to go. |

Oh come on... Im from Parramatta and its not so bad!
Why not try car pooling. Parents will know ure with someone and plus u can split the parking cost.
Even parking is good if u get into the city by 6pm.
All parking is from 6-10pm and afterwards is free.
Parking on the street from Liverpool st (World Tower) and any street south-ward is $1.10 an hour ($4.40 max)
and anything north of that is $2.20 an hour ($8.80 max) |

Amen to that
Haha, if anyone'd be driving it'd be me ... so I guess I'm carpooling with myself ...
You know, I've never driven anywhere near the city before and actually I'm kind of scared of it ... so if you hear some story about "(with dramatic emphasis) yet another P-plater" who made a bad judgement on the road and crashed on the way to an Eminence concert ... you'll know who it was |
