First post has been updated, mentioning about the dress code. In the form a wiki.

It may not be as updated as I would like it to be, but thats the best information that can be provided at this stage.

for the seating in melbourne
is the $70 the stalls or balcon? and other ones as well? how are the seatings related to the price? are they just circle, stall, balcony and seperate prices for each? and is the booking fee/price $7 online with ticketmaster? cos the prices are for studen $36.55, $57.15 and $67.15

is that normal?

Er... the Melbourne ticketing part of the wiki page is somewhat confusing. For example, it says

All Prices are final
Pricing for Melbourne is unconfirmed yet. (Last updated at 12-Jan-2007)

ROFLMAO!

Someone should change that, but then again... wasn't there something on Wiki saying we couldn't have that type of info?

Anyhows,
Seating relates to Price by how good the seats are.
So in reality, all A reserve seating is the best and you'll have to pay a premium amount for them. C Reserve is the "worst" of the seats, so they're cheaper. There should be something on Ticketmaster about seating, but from what I've seen, you are only able to pick which Reserve seating you want, and then Ticketmaster's system will book the best seats available in the section for you. Balcony, Stall, Circle are all still related to which reserve you sit in. There's no extra charge to sit there providing you get the correct ticket. If you experiment with the site, you'll see what I mean. Just pick which reserve you want, and it'll automatically determine which areas you can pick to sit in.

Ticketmaster charges a booking fee. I'm not sure if it's only for online, but I'd imagine that it applies to tickets brought from their stores as well. Whatever is charged on the Ticketmaster site will be correct. The prices on this forum MIGHT be out of date, but it shouldn't matter anyway seeing as you HAVE to go to Ticketmaster to purchase your tickets. When you go to Ticketmaster, they will tell you what each ticket will cost.

And for the prices... looks weird to me coz they're not nice $ figures, but then again... it might just be how Ticketmaster's structure it...
I think it's (Cost of Ticket)+(Booking Fee)+(GST)

Just a note for potential buyers, when purchasing the tickets through the Ticketmaster website, each ticket incurs a booking fee of $6.55. On top of this there is also a once off $7.15 'handling fee' - which sounds exactly like booking fee ... Anyway, just wanted to let potential buyers know of extra costs associated with purchasing the tickets in case you quote your friends one price and then end up having to cover the extra costs yourself Crying or Very sad

You can also walk into a ticketmaster outlet and pick up those tickets minus the "handling fee".

That is actually incorrect. I picked the 'pick up from outlet option' and so there is no charge for delivery (as it states no charge) but there is an additional handling charge as stated previously.

My invoice is as follows:

ADULT RATE AU $46.55 x 1
PENSIONER/STUDENT/SENIOR AU $36.55 x 3

Delivery (Outlet Pickup) No Charge
Handling Charge AU $7.15

TOTAL CHARGES AU $163.35

I think he meant that you actually go into the store and purchase the tickets there... not through online and then pickup.

I agree that the handling charge is there, but where is this "each ticket incurs a booking fee of $6.55" charge? Having checked the Ticketmaster website for prices, theres no indication on your invoice that the tickets incur this fee.

Does this fee only occur when you choose for delivery? Can you clarify this for me?

the booking fee is added to the ticket price.

Hence, our quoted price is $40/$30 etc.
Ticketmaster adds the $6.55 onto the price of the ticket to make the $46.55/$36.55 prices.
Hope that makes sense! ^^

Yeah, I did mean if you walked into an outlet and ordered it there.

I was enlightened to this when I walked into an outlet to pick up my tickets. They told me I could have saved myself $7.

Considering I just paid about $600+, the $7 didn"t concern me all that much.

Hm...
Another thing about the dress code thing...
Can we just wear sneakers? Or do we have to wear other types of shoes?

one: sneakers should be fine as long as they're in relatively good condition and are neatish. This is Hamer Hall, so it should be almost semi-formal, but as long as you're neat and tidy, you shouldn't have a problem! But semi-formal if you're unsure.

No Thongs!!! Or i'll step on your toes! Twisted Evil

Given the spate of public holidays I'm having difficulty verifying this. Yes, it does appear that you cannot purchase A reserve tickets, though as I said, I am having trouble checking. I'll keep you guys posted.

Less than a week to go Melbournians!!! ^^

Sydney seem to have enjoyed it (even standing ovation!!)
Now we all know what that means... don't we? Yes, that's right! We can't let Sydney out cheer us down here in Melbourne, so let's show the performers and guests that Melbourne is THE place to be when it comes to the best audience! w00t!

Anyhows... get more people to come! I know the best seats are taken, but Hamer Hall has decent seats in all reserves so it's all good! Very Happy

Let's show Eminence that Melbourne wants fantastic music and fantastic guests and fantastic music!!!

I have an A Reserve that I wish to sell since one person with me might not wanna go...
Be a bit hard to "refund" at the gates or something since nobody knows who I am and I might not even sell it haha... =/

What else is going to be sold at melbourne concert?

I'm almost positive there are no refunds...in fact I don't think any concert has refunds...

Correct. All tickets are nonrefundable with all concerts. While Ticketmaster has nothing against resale of their tickets (see here), I am not sure how it is from Eminence's perspective.

Your best bet is to find someone else you know to fill in the spot. Just make them pay half price and the person who dropped out cover the rest. Better than an empty spot at missing out on the music.

Well I think the tickets state they can't be sold for profit, but obviously we're not going to kill you if you can't make it and sell the ticket to someone else. Profiteering is bad though.

Ethically its bad, we dont encourage it yet...if you do...SHAME ON j00!

And yes, to keep it simple and judging on what you claim, you cant be qualified for a refund under those circumstances.
