Kumiko's graceful talent was certainly noted during the performances of A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Games Edition.

Of note in particlar were her solo and important parts, with my personal favourite, Fantasia alla marcia for piano, chorus and orchestra being flawless.

Discuss!

Kudos Nephtis for starting this thread.

I too would like to show my appreciation to Kumiko's talent. I loved her solo at the beginning of Legend of Mana's main theme. It is a shame it was drowned by the other instruments towards the latter part of the song.

I agree! Not only are you a great person to hear play, but a great person to talk to as well!

And how could you forget the 'piano concerto' opening to Sunrise from Tekken?! that was my favourite bit! ^^

Ah yes, that's my favourite bit too!!

I'm glad I got so many opportunities to watch Kumiko 'at work' with that opening. I stood there mesmerised each time during the rehearsals and backstage in Sydney.

Fantasia alla marcia was freaking amazing... I started to cry around then, the piano was the most recognizable part in that song...

<3 you

Hence solos and important parts!
Razz

Good to see my original suggestion for the KH credits piece was not just my being selfish, it is an awesome piece and suited the ending of the concert well.

Had nothing to do with the crew part.

I wasn"t crewing that night, I just bolted when the concert finished to line up...
if you were in the stalls, you might have seen a crazy asian guy duck and weave through everyone to get up the stairs... to still only arrive in front of the cloakroom :S

Would have been nice to be in front, to have gotten multiple signatures before someone dropped out a billion things to get signed and ruin it for the rest of us Sad

so thats why we were told only one signature from each composer! argh the party pooper! I was up stairs so I didn't see anyone duck and weave through everyone. There are however people with no courtesy and patience and try to push in through the lines but unfortunately I was forced to be silent in order to not create a scene. Me and my good manners >=[

You were upstairs? Vonbon was on the bottom floor and had to dash four flights of stairs haha. And for whoever hung around till late, you would know that crew also had to line up (in the very non-existant) line to get autographs as well.

Sorry Haku, we tried our best to manage the line to stop that, but it just too hectic at the start to prevent happenings like that.

it's alright I suppose. I'll get the guests to sign my sketchbook next year instead of a poster. I'm sure being first in line beats waiting next to the toilets =S

**Laughs** Short and sweet.

Single or not, she's still an awesome person to talk to though!

Some lucky guy she must be with!

It wasnt only her artistry but her tantalising aura and beauty when she walked across the room. When I talked to her at the table I also realised how incredibly well spoken and undoubtedly very intelligent she was inside.

Could one ask for any more in a person? Smile

Will keep an eye out for her in future performances for sure.

Could possibly be. Obviously jealous of this guy who is seeing a woman of such high calibre.

I hope to know the next chance to see her, please let me know of future concerts. And of course if she becomes single! Razz Razz

Do musicians often read or reply to these threads?

some do, some don't.

You'll notice how Ayako's and Hiro's fan threads are mega long?
Well, that's because of two things
- they've been in almost all Eminence concerts
- they read their fan threads and reply

Kumiko's new to Eminence... or at least, I've never seen her before, so who knows... Maybe Neon or some Staff member can convince her to peruse these forums... Rolling Eyes
