Yeah, last night concert was MAGNIFICO!!! It was so great, it has been my dream since I was small to listen to a game orchestra and there they were, my dream just came TRUE!! I was so damn excited!!! I love the Time's Scar so much, have been listening to it since primary school and when Hiro played it, it seemed that my whole body got absorbed Metal Gears Solid was good but I prefer OWA so MUCH!!! all my 9 friend also agree about that opinion, geez why were some people didnt stand up >< OWA Owa!! I clapped my hands until it was read already and screamed crazily >< Owa Owa but overall it was a MAGNIFICENT night! Thanks to EMINENCE!!! |

It was quite awesome. nothing like hearing mgs being played with a full choir and orchestra
Unfortunately the lines for autographs and merchandise was WAY too long for me.
I heard there was 2 new cd's being sold, like with a blue cover or something? Any chance of being able to buy it online? |

I find it rather disconcerting that all people have to say about the Melbourne concert is that they were disappointed to have missed out on hearing One Winged Angel.
What about all the OTHER pieces that you DID hear?!
It was a FANTASTIC concert, the vibe was AWESOME, the musicians well rehearsed, the crew did a GREAT job, the playlist was nice and varied *side note, how come when we play FF and Ghibli, people complain we never do anything new, and when we do new stuff, people complain we don't do enough FF?!* AND ALL YOU GUYS CAN SAY IS THAT YOU MISSED OUT ON A BLOODY ENCORE PIECE?!
maybe some people are forgetting encores are only extra pieces which are played for appreciative audiences, and are not actually part of the set program... |

THANKYOU! I've been holding it in for quite a while now, I didn't want to offend anyone.
People are forgetting that the concert was GAME MUSIC and not FINAL FANTASY. While it is understandable that people were disappointed, like KC said, it was an encore piece. If its not in a programme, you can't expect it to be played.
Please show more appreciation to the music, the composers, and the musicians. They've worked VERY hard to give this to us. I would like to remind you all that if it weren't for Eminence, we wouldn't even get concerts such as these (well, we get Play!, but.. meh). Too many people are taking Eminence for granted.
*Edited to sound nicer (ok, its still not that nice) |

YOu may be referring to "kiRite" which is one of Mitsuda's own CDs, not Eminence. The only new CD on sale that was from Eminence was "Passions" (which I didn't get a copy of EVEN THOUGH I was working in merch *disgruntled*).
The music was quite good (well what I heard of it from the foyer). As for One-winged Angel, well I was never a big fan of that piece so no big loss.
Although, for the sake of Japples, I do think we need some more FFVII related goings-on at Eminence . |

haha ryunite. You shouldn't be offending anyone in writing that. I agree with the fact that it was a game music concert rather than FF but really people only wanted to hear OWA. For me, I wasn't disappointed at all! I was just too damn glad that they played Time's Scar as an encore. ^___^ But I'm sure the special guests weren't disappointed about it either. People have to think of them as well. They are guests after all and they need to be looked after just like the audience. They did attend the Sydney concert so whats wrong with a little variety?
Since FF music seems so popular maybe in the future eminence will have a FF related concert. That should stop the OWA rants. (I hope =\) |

We've already had FF and Ghibli focused concerts in the past, and people complained we were playing the same things all the time...
Thank you Haku for mentioning that the Composers needed looking after too lol. One of the people doing the 'looking after' was me ^^
And yes, part of the reason the music was so varied was because we DID have so many composers here in the flesh. It's not like we could (or would) invite them to come how many dozen miles over the sea from Japan to Aus and NOT play their pieces. |

I didn't know about the past FF and Ghilbi concerts but I'm pretty sure it'd be uncomfortable for the guests/composers (whichever you want to call them) to attend a concert where their own work wasn't really appreciated because everyone was disappointed about not hearing another composers work. Regardless it was still a great night and I still wish Yasunori was there =( |
