At the Otakon 2007 show in Baltimore the ensemble played the climax track from Makoto Shinkai's A Place Promised in our Early Days. Just wondering, whose idea was it to pick this piece? And why?
Well, it's not just wondering. It has been bothering me since I heard it. It was great, but the fact that someone from Eminence picked this was just kept me awe-struck and amused. And confused, too, because I don't know why (besides that the piece is a great piece to play on its own). As far as I know the movie itself is not super popular, and it's while a couple years old, it isn't a classic that people would recognize like many of the other works from popular games and anime.
But despite that...wow. I like being pleasantly surprised. |

| I do like the music. And it was indeed very cool. Especially after seeing the film. |

| Seraph/Hiro have good taste, I can only hope that more music from Makoto Shinkai's works (music by Tenmon) are in future concerts. |

| Conveniently Hiro, most of Tenmon's music seems to be for strings and piano. Just right for a small ensemble? |
