<  Games  ~  Best/Worst DS games!

Okay, I just recently got a NDSL. My sis has one too. Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows of any good games I should play? I'm getting a flash cart (illegal yes but...nyeh...just don't tell anyone Wink) so price is not an issue.
There are some I will DEFINETELY get...eg.

-Phoenix Wright
-Brain Training (I aced it alread though)
-Cooking Mama (Repeatative, yes, addictive, yes, boring after a long time, yes)
-Elite Beat Agents
etc...

ALso, any games I SHOULDN'T GO NEAR. Please list.
And on top of that, does anyone know of any single card multiplayer games BESIDES EBA?

My DS case is white on the inside too! Snazzy!

Nintendogs gets pretty old fast. Brain Training is another so-so title. If you're not commnitted to it you'll forget about it. Metroid Prime Hunters is a bit of a letdown with a bland singleplayer mode but has excellent multiplayer, however the controls are a nightmare.

Hotel Dusk Room 215 & Another Code are awesome puzzle games. Also get Ouendan, Trauma Center, Final Fantasy 3 DS. Phoenix Wright 3 (JAP) comes out in a couple of weeks and has dual language options. I think Mario Kart DS uses multiplayer on 1 cart.

Etrian Odyssey is an interactive dungeon game done old-school. You plot your progress through the labyrinth, drawing walls and placing icons to note special events, treasure chests, doors, pits, stairs, and landmarks. Contains turn based strategic combat. Get it! But we warned, it's very hard and long

Project Rub/Feel the Magic is enjoyable but shortlived

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy is absolutely dreadful! Far too many glitches, slow framerate, crappy controls - bad bad bad! Burnout Legends also suffers from slow framerate and glitches (they basically tried to cram the PS2 version inside without taking the DS hardware into account). Oh, and stay away from 'Barbie Island Princess' Wink

Viva Pinata & Zelda Phantom of the Hourglass is coming to the DS soon! Very Happy As well as a FFIV remake next year and an english translation of Bleach DS

I've got a spare Hori Hard Pouch DS case if you want it (in excellent condition). Its yours for free, except pay $5 for p&h of course. Can fit 3 DS/GBA games, DS Lite, spare stylus and USB cable. I've got one of these so I don't need it anymore

Definetely getting Ouendan, 'cept my sis said that my Flash Cart may not be able to play other language games :S Apparently I'm getting this flash cart

I got nintendogs, it came free with my ds. It's too repeatative, I don't like it much.

Trauma center i will get too, that game is cool. I was wondering about Hotel Dusk 215, what's it about? Lol, Barbie? I don't think so O_o

I am a FF freak, I will DEFINITELY get them all! ^^

About the case, I would love to. Whereabouts (what state) do you live in? COs $5 is worth it, looks really good. And then I'd just need to get screen protectors. Problem is, I don't know if my parents will let me :S they sort of object to online buying. Hell, they don't even know I go on this forum ^^; I'll try and sort it out. Hotel Dusk 215 is about an ex-detective who goes to a hotel on a quest for redemption and revenge. You turn the DS sideways and its basically like holding a book. There's tons of dialogue, interesting characters but the puzzles are so few. Basically you're playing it for the fantastic storyline and it runs as a 'Choose your own adventure'. Some things you say can get you chucked out the Hotel and its game over (but then it just reverts back to the start of the chapter unless you saved it beforehand)

The art style is awesome too, its almost like a moving comic book. Its from the same company who made 'Another Code/Trace Memory'

As for the DS case I take paypal/bank deposit. Or you could send me one of those post office cheque things (you pay post office $5 and they give you a cash cheque, which you then send to me). I live in WA btw (as stated below my avatar)

Screen protectors are awesome and you'll really need them before you start playing EBA. Luckily I bought mine before Ouendan!

I'll pm you my details later, kinda busy atm

And as for the Barbie game I'm just screwing with you Razz

Hmmm...might do the cash cheque option. If I did it by paypal, how would it be done? By ebay or something?

Don't download, buy it you lazy bastard! You'll get better satisfaction knowing that you own such a unique game. Only download games that you can't buy anymore - like Chrono Trigger (not that I'm endorsing piracy here)

Screen protectors aren't expensive, they're like $5 or something from play-asia.com

If you did it by Paypal you basically click on the tab 'Send money' to my email addy which is linked to Paypal. Your payment should have your address details on it, so then I'll send off the DS case.

Get Mario Kart DS. Always good for some multiplayer action.

Kirby Squeak Squad is good for the first play through, gotta love Kirby, though gets boring after you"re done.

Tetris. The only game I always go back to.

All the Phoenix Wrights are good, Hotel Dusk is awesome.

New Super Mario Bros, of course.

Mario Hoops 3 on 3 is also amusing.

Stay the hell way from Diddy Kong Racing.


I"m just waiting for "Its a wonderful world" now...

Hmm..I have tetris, Brain training and Metroid Prime: Hunters.
They are all pretty good, I ALMOST bought lost magic, but then a friend told me how bad it was.
A friend of mine just got MegamanZX, and he lets me play it occasionally, it's pretty fun. I love MM games. Very Happy

Oh...and stay away from super-princess peach, another friend of mine bought that (why she did, I will never know) and says that it's terrible.

Umm, I have it, and I really enjoy playing it online. The campaign isn't good at all, but the multiplayer is really good. The only bad part is it's full of hackers. Sort of ruins the experience.
I suppose if you like fps games, this would be a good one to get.

Chocobo Tales is great fun, but won"t appeal to everyone.
It has a cutesy story and is pretty much made up of Mario Party like minigames to save friends, collect cards and generally save the world.

i've never played the GBA games, but i loved the DS one, tonnes of stuff to do

...i personally prefer the Fire Emblem series though, hope they'll eventually announce a FE game on DS *praying*

Bad news, my sister's friend who was going to give me the flash cart GOT HIS DS STOLEN with it so now I have to buy one...they're so expensive!! ><;; What am I going to do~
