Totoro!
Laputa!
Nausicaa! (fave manga too)
I must've seen those movies at least 20 times. For real.
On the otherhand, I dont really like his latest movies Thattt much. They're still good nonetheless, but arh for someone who's grown up with those 3 films that i've mentioned. I think my image of him, his style is stuck.
Something like SA and HMC are just.. too different. |

i've only seen...
howl's moving castle
laputa
porco rosso &
spirited away
if i had to pick one of them... i dont think i'd be able to... i didn't like porco rosso as much as the other 3 but i watched it anyway because i LOVE the theme song 'sepia iro no shashin' [ the sepia coloured photo ]... it was performed at 2 of the eminence concerts [ haha one of them was the concert where hiro did about 5 encores! ] and i absolutely loved it as soon as i heard it |

haha yeah.. they're films i will never ever get sick of.
I seem to always discover new things whenever i rewatch them. Its great.
I still get the shivers when I see Nausicaa jump out of that ship into the clouds and the music starts.... Man. Damn it's good.
except, after reading nausicaa manga, the film feels just A BIT different. |

the what? :O :O :O
Ah heres something interesting. Totoro and Grave of the Fireflies was released to theatres on the same day. Even though they're both from Studio Ghibli.
For ppl who have seen both movies, I'm sure you'll be able to work out why.
You'll also notice that the boy and grandma from totoro is in fireflies hehe |

spirited away was VERY VERY well done though. In english.
I thought it almost kicked the japanese versions ass.

But eh, its Disney afterall. :p

bootleg versions? they can't even spell the english words correctly let alone choosing the right words to express the meaning!
oh grave of fireflies? yeah that is one of the best! well..... it's saddening unfortunately, but still one of the greatest anime ever _________________ I dunno better things to write for my signature so here it goes! |

;_; I don't think I could ever watch Grave of the Fireflies again. It was fantastic..... but sooooooooo veryy depressingg.
I can't choose between Nausicaa (yes! the manga is beautiful!), Kiki or Totoro.
Or Spirited Away. I loved that one too. Especially the radish spirit. |

Nausicaa for me... although I only watched it for the first time about two weeks ago, so it's still fresh in my mind.
Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are my other favourites.
Graveyard of the Fireflies didn't interest me too much... although I found it better second watching.
Subs are usually better... but for most movies and some series, I watch eng dubs (just because they're there, mainly). |

hhmm i can't watch it second time, same here it's soooo depressing..... hey i didn't realise the boy from totoro and grave of fireflies is the same, well at least with the character design that is....
english dub.... i dunno why companies like to do that? is it because it's cheaper to do? i thought subs will be a lot cheaper for this companies to do, dubbing sometimes ruin the whole anime so badly that i dun wanna watch them _________________ I dunno better things to write for my signature so here it goes! |
