What does everyone think?

- funnier than previous films. Well i enjoyed it. besides some character faults its good.
:p

i think dumbledor (or however you spell his name woops) went a bit ballistic. O_O He's supposed to be cool/calm... not "HARRY POTTER OMG OMG OMG"

but what i really wanted to say was......
cho chang T_T disappointment. Grab any girl from the streets and she'll be prettier. there was just nothing special about her. :\
and she's a very important character too. Sad

victor krum, i thought he was super ugly, but after watching the film he's actually okay.

cedric and fleur were okay Smile

well i really liked the twins. :p

hahaha, either im detecting jealousy or a "i-can-act-soo-much" better speech =P

she was alright, just when she spoke Shocked

Didnt imagine the ending to be tragic but the story development is getting interesting, with the tell-tale of his past.

Is there another movie after this?

yeh.. he probably didn't read the novel.
haha

cho chang is supposed to be ... really pretty Smile
quiet girl pretty. look at her and go .. Wow.
i mean, harry potters love interest. Cedric chose her for the yule ball. Theres got to be something special.
hmm in terms of acting and speaking. it was just normal. she didn't say much nor did she need to 'act' much in that film.

Smile

jealousy haha.. erh. thanks. no -_-;

on the otherhand, its just another one of those disappointing charactres.
Ginny sucks, Dumbledor sucks, Sirius Black..... *shakes head* is the worst. haha T_T

Id say the movie could be for any age of audience, they're starting to grow up now, physically XD

Shocked

what really got me laughing was when Hermione said "whats got your wand twisted?"
LOL did anyone get the pun? XD

Transistor, here's some spoil up ahead for you

In Goblet of Fire, Harry develops his first crush on Cho Chang (though there are hints of it in Prisoner of Azkaban). During his fifth year, he has an on-and-off relationship with her and even kisses her under the mistletoe, but they split up at the end of the year. Technically, this break-up is as a result of Cho's friend Marietta Edgecombe's betrayal of Dumbledore's Army, but at the time this occurs their relationship is already faltering; they are simply not on the same wavelength, as Harry is quite clueless about how romance is supposed to be gone about in general and is unable (or indeed, unwilling) to deal with Cho's grief at the death of her late boyfriend Cedric Diggory or comically misplaced romantic jealousy of Hermione.

Harry preparing for the Yule Ball

Harry's failed relationship with Cho is a contrast to his eventual relationship with Ginny Weasley, who J.K. Rowling has said she had set up to eventually become Harry's "ideal girl" and "total equal". This plot arc starts with Ginny's unrequited crush on Harry during Chamber of Secrets through to Goblet of Fire, which appears to serve mainly purposes of comic relief; it is however eventually revealed to be a case of ironic set-up, as in Order of The Phoenix Hermione tells Harry that Ginny has given up on him and in Half-Blood Prince, he develops apparently unrequited feelings for her, with which he struggles throughout the year (toward the end of Order of the Phoenix, Ginny entered into a relationship with Dean Thomas, and Harry is further convinced that Ginny's brother Ron, Harry's best friend, disapproves of her having anyone as a boyfriend). Things eventually work out for them - after Ginny and Dean break up, Harry is swept up in the high of Gryffindor's Quidditch Cup victory celebrations and spontaneously kisses her in front of the whole Common Room; Ron, who obviously has mixed feelings about this relationship, expresses his kind-of approval by giving a tiny jerk of the head that Harry understood to mean, "Well - if you must." The following few weeks are described as some of the happiest of Harry's life, a rare oasis for him in the darkness of the war. By the end of Half-Blood Prince, Harry breaks off his relationship with Ginny in an attempt to ensure her safety, fearing that Voldemort would target her specifically once he learned of their relationship. Ginny understands and accepts his decision, while hinting at a relationship after Harry defeats Lord Voldemort.

yeah and see how movies from hollywood nowadays always copy from games, japanese movies arrggghh where's the originality folks? even matrix was a copy from various sources and they just make it look cool and feel original although the ideas and settings are pretty much copied from japan
[/off topic]

btw the next one is going to be order of phoenix and half blood prince i suppose? anyone knows when the 7th series is going to be released?

cho chang is quite pretty and has a nice smile.
and its not that she can't act, she just happened to beat like a few thousand entries and apparently that neightbours asian girl tried out and so did boa. XD
(i agree with CCjc, its all jealousy!!!! but obviously no one would admit to that, so deny all you want, hehehe XD) Kouri you know well that your over-exagerating kakakaka.

JK Rowling wanted a "nobody" as in someone never heard of to play the part anyway.

she doesnt speak weird, its just a scottish accent hat was some surprise), its so easy to pick up! ( i guess she grew up in scotland then?)
besides, arent all hogwart students supposed to be from england? (or some britishy accenty country? she shouldve gone to scottish magic school.)

The special effects looked quite good, I loved the last triwizard thingo. in the maze. blah blah. The first two tests were waaaay off. harry had no trouble pulling the first two tests off at all. O.o. but i guess it was necessary for the movie script to add some excitment to it.

the novel is so much better. the movie wasn't that great, but better than the other three though.
also its not that completely suited for kids either, they had good reason to put a "M" rating onto it. its expected, especially for those who have read the novel. it certainly had its funny parts.

6.5 out of 10 for me. ( i sound like a harry potter freak here, im not. GoF was the first time i even bothered watching a Harry potter film at the cinema, since i enjoyed this series the best of what i read 1,3,4)

I may have enjoyed it more if i haven't read it. =P

I remember walking out of the cinema and thinking, 'that was soo much better than the last three...'

In this movie, they picked one main story thread (the triwizard tournament) and followed it through, rather than picking several story threads and jumping from one to the other. I thought it worked a lot smoother.

As for the characters... I didn't so much mind Cho Chang's actress, as I did Cho not having a decent role. Same with Fleur... and the Dursleys weren't even in it!

I am glad that they decided not to use The Philosopher's Stone's soundtrack for a fourth time.

which philosopher stone's soundtrack?

oh yeah i would think they would concentrate on the main storyline, to make people still buy the book i reckon Razz and yeah u r right, if the story line is jumping around, the whole movie will be really really ruined.

cho chang as the actress? no prob for me, but ron wisley n hermione (sorry for spelling) simply can't be replaced, they are the funny characters and without them the movie will look really really different

I just got very tired of hearing that Harry Potter theme over and over. I think GoF had a different composer than the other three?...
