yup here we go again, i know the debate whether linux or windows is better has been going on for so long, but put that aside, ok let's assume a guy like me who use computers mostly for emails, watching movies and ms office applications (although i use openoffice now, you can create pdfs with it). Well that's about it really, maybe playing games but not the kind of the latest ones, i'm talking about chess games :p, and maybe some programming for my uni courses.....
well that's all i really can say about my computer usage, so let's start trying to convince people to use linux :p coz if i dun have to, i dun really want to actually.... too much hassle haha _________________ I dunno better things to write for my signature so here it goes! |

i'm too cheap to buy a new computer, let alone a mac , i love them they look cool but the price arrrrggghhhh choking me like mad, i mean for the kind of spec you get, you will still be better of with a pc. HHmmm hopefully things are geting a lot better when intel chips are starting to be used in macs _________________ I dunno better things to write for my signature so here it goes! |

Fat chance of this ever happening in the next couple of years
most of people have to re-trained in order to use linux
the other thing is there isnt any wide-availablity in driver support, its mostly for window's platform im afraid
and NOT all linux packages are suited for every computer taht has different components installed
If you want one work, you're going to have to either do a long search on the internet, just to find drives.
Or buy one that already has linux installed _________________
