It was boring for me. Good action and bullet time, but nil-scariness. Just waiting for Prey. Many years in development and im hoping it will rock. _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.

I had a good look at EGX - looked like Halo. I think it's a flop FPS.

I give my opinion when i know what im talking about.
Kouri: the game seems scary, but lacks the scaryness of Silent hill. _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.

I'm only a few levels in, and I found the atmosphere to be more spine-tingling than outright scary. That notification of an Unknown transmission before something happens really should have been omitted. _________________ not here |

The Slide Tackle (forward + crouch + melee) is way too overpowering. Heck, you can boot corpses 30m across the open with that move. _________________ not here

What's FEAR about anyhow? It doesn't seem that scary to me *shrugs*
You should play the Silent Hill series. Now, those are scary games _________________

F.E.A.R. lacked any real fright factor for me simply cos my comp was low end for what the game required. It's a bit hard to be scared of a red square falling into a pixellated red shape of sorts on the ground, as opposed to a drop of blood falling into a pool of the stuff...^^;;
But with a decent vid card, this game could be pretty intense, played at night with headphones on... |

you know towards the beginning (in the first mission) when ur on the rooftop looking for the leader dude with the bloody face and how he suddenly jumps out at you? lol i knew he was around there somewhere. i had a feeling he was behind this corner, but when he suddenly came onto the screen i couldn't help but...well...i kinda screamed out loud haw haw haw no game has ever made me do that before it was uncanny. i've experienced RE4 in its entirety, Doom 3 was a walk in the park (well maybe that was b/c i had God mode on...), but yeah, FEAR made me scream out loud. shame on me!!! |

yeah, the guy on the ladder was one of the scariest part.
Another scary one was when that little girl crawled on the floor towards you.
and that was all.
FEAR is fun if you have high performance PC and you set ur config to max,
Blowing up the wall and stuffs ^^ _________________

hehe glad i didn't play haha..
yeh i have pretty good pc specs..
the drop of blood.. and.. ehh *shivers* it was .. well a lil too real.
silent hill is scary. but the reality hmm... FEAR kinda kicks it ass a lil.. since its on pc.
resident evil isn't really scary at all ... but i haven't played the latest games .. so maybe it is if compared to SH. |

| well i've only played a little bit of Silent Hill 4 (i stopped playing b/c well...i got freaked out), and it's definitely scarier than RE4 overall. RE4 has its moments though, but it is more of an action game. i found the older RE games to be scarier b/c of the shitty controls. whenever enemies were around, i panicked coz i couldn't shoot them properly. and then i'd waste heaps of ammo and then later i would have none left for the harder creatures...it was not a good feeling. but i never had these problems in RE4 coz it wasn't using the digital setup anymore. |

I found Silent Hill 4 to be boringish. Silent hill 3 still takes the cake for one of the scariest games out there. Or I am just really freaked out by decapitated/undead guys in bunny suits(they died with the suit on. amusment park.)
The RE series is more action based, hence you are only going to find a few jumpy moments in them. No nightmares from it im afraid.. _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.
