I think either way i'll be going B. I'm not really willing pay anymore for my first eminence concert. that'll probably change though Wink

You mean this? -> https://www.eminenceonline.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=5007#5007

That 'crude diagram' is representative only of Verbrugghen Hall and not of the Sydney or Melbourne Town Halls.

Suffice to say that 'A Reserve' will give you the best seats in the venue, both in terms of the view of the orchestra and the acoustics of the performance.

If you want to see what the layout of the Sydney Town Hall might look like, refer to the following two diagrams. Our seating layout will be similar to one of these:
http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/Business/documents/VenueHire/sth_main1.pdf
http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/Business/documents/VenueHire/sth_main2.pdf

Same deal with the Melbourne Town Hall. It will be a similar arrangement in that the 'A Reserve' seats will give you the most ideal view of the orchestra and the best acoustics. For a layout diagram of the Melbourne Town Hall, have a look here:
http://www.melbournetownhall.com.au/images/roomMaps/mainHall.gif

We will try and provide confirmed seating layouts for both venues as soon as we can.

Hope that helps to some extent Very Happy

Im not exactly sure how the C Reserves were ran in both venues, but people from the A Reserves ran down to the C spots basically because they were on the same level. You just had to go down the stairs to reach them.
Note that this was at the Verbrugghen Hall

I hope this time round, the actual naming a "C Reserve" would be labelled somewhere on the glossy ticket Wink

Yes, they will be available.

For Melburnians, please go to EasyTix to buy your tickets online.

For Sydney-Siders, please go to Books Kinokuniya for your online ticket purchasing needs; although a Sydney-sider may want to correct me @ purchasing online at Books Kinokuniya.

Very Happy

Yes, all tickets can be pre-purchased online at both of those websites as described in his post and as per the ANIF06 information page (click here).

Questions for Melbourne:

A reserve are actually the seats furthest away? Does that mean you can't actually see very well but it sounds good? Are they on the Balcony?

C reserve are the closest to the stage but too close?

So does that mean that for an alround great performance the way to go is B reserve?

I can try telling you where the A reserves are for Melbourne.

The middle two columns(there are 4 altogether), first 15 rows are A reserves
The other A reserves are seats in the middle of the balcony level facing straight towards the stage.

So no, they're not furthest away. The balcony at the back isn't actually Riggght at the back of everything, it sits on top of a couple of rows down at the bottom.

So in other words, A reserve = Best View / Sound. Smile

And then we'll wait for the map to get here before I show mark where the Cs and Bs are..

What about for Sydney?

I hope the Reserve C area is the bottom floor in the centre Smile

Hrmm. With Piano Stories III in Melbourne I noticed that some Premium Reverve seats were front row and therefore looking up at the stage. Could this potentially happen at the Melbourne Town Hall with ANIF06?

EAsyTix hasn't updated their website so we can't buy tickets. When will this be available as I would hate to miss out on tickets?

That's only lame row A. And it's just been said that they'll give you the best view and sound, so no you won't be straining yourself.

Just a minor question/grumble...

Why a friday for the Sydney Concerts and not a weekend?

I've been to the past 2 ANIF concerts (as well as destiny and the latest piano stories) and loved them. However, that was back when I was a uni student and could take the time to travel to Sydney for concerts at those sort of times. (It takes me between 1.5 and 2.5 hours to get to sydney from my location, depending on transport method, traffic, etc)
This year however, I now work full time, and as such a 3pm concert on a weeknight is definitely out of the question and even 7:30pm is pushing it a little. Sad
I know I'm not the only one in this situation as well.

I know there is some reasoning behind the choice of times/dates, and was just wondering what it was.

I'll be doing my best to make it to the concert however, 'cause I love what you guys do.

I'll field this one to the best of my ability.

July, Friday the 7th is within the holiday period of the university student; one of the target markets of Eminence. High school students should also be on holidays by that stage, another target market. It is assumed that most people would be able to attend the concert. This is a general assumption.

Also, it may be that the town hall is only available on those two days. The town hall is, generally, one of the heavily most booked venues. Everyone wants a piece of it.

This is merely an explanation. We apologise if this causes any inconvienence. But it's not really something we have control over.

We would very much like to see your attendance Very Happy. And we and I hope that you continue to enjoy our works Very Happy.

I'm a little bit worried I won't get any tickets from the online booking. Should I try to get to Sydney in person instead? I can't miss this concert!

LOL. Stop encouraging him/her, Athira Razz

Tihara, whereabouts are you located? I'm assuming Melbourne...it might be a better idea if you go to the Melbourne Town Hall and inquire therein Very Happy.

Ehrm... Actually in a suburb to Sydney. Cool

I'm not really in city every week, but maybe I should go there just to buy the tickets. Or do you think the online ticket sale will be open soon?

I see....you mean the CBD instead of Sydney, or just the City Razz

Anyway, I dunno when they will sell tickets online, should hopefully be soon, fingers crossed. You may want to wait around a bit...or if you really want to, buy tickets in person. Up to you, the choice is yours Cool

But, yes, we will advise you when they start selling tickets online. Be sure to check the main website regularly Very Happy.

Never fear! For our customers' benefit, we are seriously contemplating the idea of seating plans for the both the Melbourne and Sydney Town Halls to be featured on the ANIF 06 mainpage.

That way, you will be able to "see" the stage in relation to the seat or seats you wish to purchase. We may be introducing this feature for all our concerts. It's much easier that way.

This notwithstanding, due to issues of secruity, we may have to email you the seating plan.

If you would like to wait around for EasyTix to update their site, then I advice you to do that. Or if you don't want to, then I suggest you buy from the Melbourne Town Hall in person.

Oh, FYI, Charly and teehee, I've added the both of you to msnger contacts. So, if any of you have any further inquiries or just wish to chat, you know where to find me Very Happy.
