I'd agree... the controller is hard to get around (pardon the pun).
Particularly.... if you have a look at Nintendo64's controller... in my personal opinion, the person who designed it should be shot.
Um.. although, PS3's new controller does look quite futuristic... another uber cool factor.3
But I do hope what Santa said is true. |

Just saw an article quoting that the Nov release price for the PS3 will be $999 for the 60Gb version, and $829 for the 20Gb version.
For me, price and bundling will be the deciding factor.
I can freely admit that I never bought my PS2 until it was way cheap and bundled with a good game. So I can't see myself justifying paying the $800-1000 just to get the console, and then still forking out another lot of money for new games. You would have to be one or more of the following:
a) cashed up and had plenty of disposable income
b) don't already have a collection of PS2 games that you can still play on the PS2
c) really needed to have a certain game that was only released for the PS3
d) willing to sacrifice an arm and a leg for the privilege
Don't get me wrong, I have been salivating over the new consoles, and would dearly love to possess one, but you also gotta look at economic reality and other priorities first. |

I would like to add.
that the ps3 controller is. Absolutely Cool.
=)
Looks exactly like................. the ps2's one haha
Its not the random boomerang anymore  they've confirmed it at e3.
Oh and the Wii controller. I love it too.
As much as I did think it really sucked before...(not a big fan of nintendo) Butt not after seeing what it can do. The nintendo console as usual is a great party/multiplayer console. Mouth dropped at the tennis game as well as the sword one actually.
I suggest people go and take a look at the Wii trailer from e3  at video.google.com or somewhere else.
the Wii and PS3 kick the XBOX360 any day.

Yeah I saw that confirmation about the PS3 controller too. Basically looks like the PS2 controller without the wire 
Bit of a cost cutting measure on Sony's part perhaps? No need to spend money on a redesign...
I have yet to check out any images of the Wii (weeeeeeee) controller, but I read somewhere that it looks like a glorified TV remote control LOL
Actually, I have nothing against Nintendo at all. As Santa said, they do like to think laterally when it comes to the gaming experience. Believe it or not, I still have my Nintendo 64 and bag full of game cartridges hahaha  |

geezzz the only wireless thing we'll is probably the power cable in the future
anyways, i would hate it if the battery in the ps3 runs out like every week, but then again if it works like ipod where it will charge the battery when its connected to the usb port then prob i won't mind. As long as it is not dead after a couple of months, like what happened to 1st generation ipods
as for wii, i think there is a video in youtube showing what things you can play in that game such as fishing, so you have 1 stick as the pole and the other one is the crank to pull the string, looks cool and in zelda you use one to aim and the other one to shoot arrows |

I heard that there was a slightly delay in the response time of the controller... although it's hardly noticeable apparently......  |

hmmm.. for some reason neither of those systems bring back the urge to aimlessly spend money (like i did as a kid with all my savings to get a super nintendo and mario world..lol.) Have not bought a console since the super, but have an up to date computer and borrowed mates ps1 for FF series and Legend of Mana. Am going to borrow his PS2 when the PS3 comes out (cause i know he will get it) for dawn of mana (hopefully) and DoC and Dragon Quest.
Finally though something has made brought back my desire for a console, even making me go and borrow a gamecube (lol) and that is the Wii. I guess i am a slow chooser that waits for a huge title that can not be missed. Hence i got metroid prime and echoes, and will prob get a samll number of games like RE4.
And the 360 has been out for a while and i love the graphics, but none of the games float my baot. same so far with PS3 .
So it not that the Wii gets my vote, just that it appeals that little but more.
And honestly something original has to arise sooner or later that matches FF, and it may come from small party developers, which unfortunately wont be able to afford to produce for top end systems.
I guess i am looking for turtles in time, which i used to finish at least 10 times a week for years...lol.... and not a "console".
In summary, for now its the Wii, by xmas may change. lol... i reckon a poll should be on games and not systems because they all have their let downs and "wouldnt it be cool if they released..... topics" |

So many votes for PS3... 
I want a Wii, but if I had to choose between the two, I'd go 360.
Sure, it's Microsoft. But I'm yet to read anything about the PS3 that makes it seem worth all that money.
Lex Luthor would choose 360 too. |
