outside of anime though, I like Coldplay (their OLD songs not the new album... >.>) and Gorillaz!! Feel good rules!! And so does the video clip. O.O Awsome! _________________

Larc, or Basara from Macross 7, or the music from s.CRY.ed and GunXSword (same music guy). _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.

I like stuff by Nobuo Uematsu and Joe Hisaishi Their music always captures the mood they intend, its brilliant.
L'Arc~en~ciel, Dir en Grey and Gackt are all other favourites. I tend to draw away from mainstream music. J-Rock all the way! \m/ |

Uematsu's compositions are one of the reasons why he is quite revered as one of the top game soundtrack composer luminaries.
There is another composer; a young man by the name of Yasunori Mitsuda. He did excellent work for the following Square era RPG games Chrono Cross, Xenogears, and then when the Xenogears story jump to Namco; he did the OST for Xenosaga Episode 1 and 2. The probability of him doing the entire 4 more episodes along the line is quite high. |

Ah Mitsuda, you're so great. I think Uematsu's Alpha and Cruise Chaser Blassty soundtracks are his finest work. _________________

These would have to be my favourites, but there's lots and lots of good music and composers out there:
- Ryo Kunihiko (the Twelve Kingdoms, Emma)
- Yoko Kanno (Escaflowne, Macross Plus, Wolf's Rain, Earth Girl Arjuna)
- Yuki Kajiura (Noir, Hack Sign, My Hime, Aquarian Age)
- Joe Hisaishi (Miyazaki films)
- Hajime Mizoguchi (Jinroh, Escaflowne)
- Katsuhisa Hattori (the Seikai series, Argento Soma)
- Tenmon (Hoshi no Koe, Beyond the Clouds)
Lots of good stuff available for future concerts |

Hey hey, she's mine first. We can always share her though, between Yoko Kanno that is. Oh, and I don't think enough attention has been paid to my previous post, click the links. I'm amused by said titles anyway. _________________

I'm in love with Utada Hikaru (even though i'm a girl) i want to hold hands with her, we would walk along the beach, and i would brush her hair before she goes to bed and we could sing songs together too! *dreamy eyes* My favourite song of hers is 'Colors' and 'Animato' from her album 'Exodus'.
I also love Nobuo Uematsu, he is so cool My sister and i have a few of the soundtracks from the ff series too ff7, 8, 9 and 10 music soundtracks as well as some singles and stuff My favourite song would have to be... 'Eyes on Me' and 'Suteki da ne', i'd really love to hear these two at ANIF some time *dreamy eyes again* _________________

well... yesterday's ff piece was only oath, which i really have no idea where it is played in the game, i did hope for waltz for the moon, or at least a chocobo piece (hey I'm a chocobo fan )
btw, lulu i'm also a big fan of utada, well.... until she got married at age of 20 with somebody 15 years older than her, wow what a lucky guy! , but still like her songs, except the english album, which... hhhmmm dunno just didn't like it. So now it's mika nakashima |

| The only problem, transistor, is that Find the Way is by far Mika's best song.... the rest struggle to compare, though I wish they did. |

yeah... The japanese '1000 words' is so much better
Oh and about Exodus, i didn't like it at first either, but after listening to it a few more times i really got into it. It's especially good as car music i sing really loud to it and then my sis turns the music up so she can't hear my singing... T_T how rude! _________________

OH! does anyone like Beethoven? I really really love the 'Pathetique' Sonata, i learnt the 2nd movement and started to learn the 1st movement, which is the best. ohhh man it's soo cool! Although, now that i've stopped practising... i can't play either one...
I can still play Debussy though, he's so cool too! _________________

First hearing christie play on the piano, I had an internal nosebleed. HONEST.
And then, when hearing Hiro + Christie playing, I swear to the demon king I was content with dying then and there happily.
And if not enough people clapped for them, I would've gone spazzo and chucked nosebleed on them, but thankfully they were loved by everyone <3
Just to get things back on topic, I've always loved 6 Banme no Eki on the Spirited Away soundtrack. It's so depressing... play it in real life, and even the versatility of my cool handerkerchief can't save me. _________________ "I have a love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine, and a rage in me the likes of which you would not believe. schubert..... I absolutely love his 9th symphony (actually more than beethovens) and love the dedication to beethovens through it. Otherwise , his leider and simply the fact that he wrote hardly any and then...BOOM heaps and heaps of music.. (btw I song bel canto and am not a tenor nor baritone, therefore his leider is very good to me..so i am bias)
other than that i always wonder what would it be like if schuberts, mozart or beethoven got ahold the theme out of the movie "SHine" (rach) i think they could have worked even better wonders with it.
Ooops, sorry i do not know a lot of anime composer and music, am learning..... _________________ Music is great by itself, but having music bring a story to life is unbelieveable!!!
