Alexey was awesome last night, i loved every song he played, even with the minor mistakes.
As with the keybashing, i thought it was quite entertaining, to see an artist get so worked up in playing such a song, also gives more of an emphasis on the parts of the song he "key bashed". Without the keybashing, i think "Those that fight" from FF VII would of been more dull. Alexey really brought out the emphasis on the tension in this battle music.
It was cool how he came back again and played "Those that fight" as an encore to finish up the night.
Overall, this concert was awesome! 10/10
Keep up the good work =] |

can you call it japanese or abbreviate it to jp or jpns? some people might be touchy about using the term 'jap'...
nice to meet you can be said as either douzouyoroshiku or yoroshiku or hajimemashite |

Yes, please avoid using the term 'Jap.' Thank you.
What can I say about Alexey? The guy's a genius, pure and simple. His fingerwork is amazing. The guy's a natural. And he's so friendly too! |

I love his touch. It's so difficult to bring out the melody without sounding forced or mashed up with the other notes being played. No muddy unclear melodies with him though, nup, nup.

Hmm, it's a common mistake, so all is forgiven. (The term first came about during WWII, not exactly something pleasant to be associated with). Now that you know, THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO USE THE TERM AGAIN!
(Sorry for veering off topic. I'll be good now, I promise ) |

first time seeing him was at Piano Stories III and he realli looks like my commerce teacher which is kinda scary coz my commerce teacher looks lik my day O__o
but you know i didnt even realise that he made mistakes XD and i reali like how he did the key bashing....showed alot of emotion and power....and my favourite song he played was Two of Us XD maybe because Hiro and Ayako came in...but it was still a beautiful piece...
i reali love how he played Aerith's theme...its one of my favourite piano pieces and he played it so well >< i reali felt like crying.
if you actuali got the piano stories III cd...deres a picture of him without his glasses and omg >< he has the nicest eyes ever! |

lol - as if you could tell. neither of them have ever played to the full extent of their ability at the concerts. sure you have seen alexey play a lot more, natalia was working with eminence for the first time ever this time round.
im sure they both have their strong points. besides natalias performance was flawless at ANIF06. beautiful balance in both hands, especially when playing eyes on me...(OMIGOSH SOMEONE GET ME THAT VERSION IN SHEET MUSIC) which book which book!?
if we're gonna be judging which pianist plays better, we have to consider that they are both virtuoso pianists. so you would have to judge on who can really express the song the best and how much it 'touches' you. if you know what i mean. |

yeah your right ^^ i mean i like Alexey but im reali grateful that Natalia performed...coz it was reali smooth and just certain piano solos she played was reali smooth..calm yet touching ^___^ just so clear it just stays in ur mind. im not saying Alexey cant do that either...but their styles are different so to me theres no "better" one coz they have different styles...
but on ANIF06...it was reali hiro's wonderful playing dat reali touched me and sending shivers =D
i wonder when wuld alexey perform agen? i want to see him again ^^ and his wonderful playing |
