Its like asking, what turns you on about girls...would a really hot attractive looking chick turn you on? then you find out she cant speak english to you properly, then that just ruins the whole image of girls for you aye?

lol its similar perspective, korean has a really nice culture, you should experience them, head over to another country, induge in abit of history, social forms, food, hey even the watching the dramas if you have time if not the music are kewl

Not all music are good to listen to, and that generall goes for anything, not just korean material.

But hey, lets be open minded about things, because there's so much things out there to experience and appriciate, even if you dont like it, hey you appriciated something you dont like at least ^_- hehe

singing in korean is just like singing in japanese... the sounds are pretty close.... let me ask a question then as you are all saying 'i dont understand korean etc.' do you understand everything you sing in japanese? [ without looking at english translations ]

is that to say i'm not entitled to an opinion? Laughing

i'd disagree. it's then like saying that because u dont' like something u still have to appreciate it. i mean, i'm sure everyone hates someone else... do u appreciate them? hell no, esp. when they tick you off.

and it's not like i was totally dissing korean culture - cuz i'm sure it's wonderful, on the other hand, i'm just not a fan of their music. i mean, their food is good - go BBQ korean beef!!!

Laughing Laughing Smile Very Happy

when your talking about your(concinnity) distaste in korean music, is that like kor-pop and rock, more of the contemp style of mainstream music?

(for the record i don't actually listen to any songs sung in korean and not because i hate them, or think it sounds bad)

problem about singing korean songs..in karoke..is that even if they are english pronouciations...its still very different to how you pronouce in japanese =/ coz the pronouciation wif japanese is much more easier i guess so i reckon its alot harder to sing korean...

well its a matter of actuali tryin all sorts of korean songs =/ if you've heard bad ones you'll presume that korean musix is bad or taiwanese musix is bad...

i dont believe jay chow is up himself even tho i do wish he wuld actuali speak mandarin or cantonese more fluently...hes always mumbling T__T

back to topic: i voted for drums o__o im surprised thats the only vote...i thought more people played drums.

I play piano, flute, organ and sing, so which do i pick?
I put piano in the survey, but thats just coz i've played that one the longest.

There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with kpop.
I recommend Fly to the Sky, BoA, dong bang shin ki (TVfXQ), chun san ji hee (TSZX), SHINHWA
You don't have to understand what they're saying to appreciate the fact that they can sing and have really nice songs and voices.

thanks manfa
187, pipe organ is basically just the same as piano, but adding the feet keyboard as well. Its ok, if you've got good hand-eye-leg coordination, but it takes practice Very Happy
Oh, and flute's not that hard, anyone can blow a note. It's just playing well that's hard.

Meh. Why isn't that poll multi-choice. What about us multi talented people? Hehehe. Laughing

Piano's my main instrument. I play some guitar/bass and drums. I used to be able to play easy stuff on clarinet. Oooh and I can play gw33ntea's violin like a guitar. Ha!

I swear I will learn the cello before I die.

Originally I was taught at a young age to play the piano and to sing(my grandma's a music teacher.) Then in elementary school I picked up the violin and then in 5th grade I learned the flute. I've played all in concerts and did the whole summer camp thing.

At 16 I picked up the guitar and though, I can play the violin what's 2 more string? Boy was I wrong, it's not as easy as it looks. Anyway, playing any instrument is good, even if it's making up shit on the computer.

And yes, vocals is considered an instrument- atleast in the states it is.

It is kind of hard for me to vote, because I play not only piano, which is my main instrument, but I also have taken up the drums and bass guitar and have fiddled around with the guitar.

2nd post and counting! Smile

well its extremely unrealistic to put every single combination of instruments possible in the poll xP

no use complaining, just tick your main/best one and post the other instruments you play.

im sure most musicians can play a second (or more)instrument at a beginners level.
