C'mon. Every forum needs an advent children thread.
But anyway. It's coming out this month.
Though I can't remember when.
I AM SO GETTING IT. |

I cant wait either. I am a bit disappointed its taking this long to get the movie out here. It seems like it was way way back when the movie was first announced. _________________

EzyDVD has it slated for Wednesday the 26th of October. It's also in theory supposed to have a horribly delayed U.S release, which may delay ours.
Should be out on the 14th in Japan, although it will be out on the 10th in selected Japanese cinemas. Huzzah. _________________

That would be Japanese version coming out I believe as according to a few posts back up. But for the US release being delayed here is the source:

Yeah I read that article. Officially though, it hasn't been delayed, which is why it's lame. (Pretty sure by now it will be though) _________________

Yeah it has been. Square-Enix have said so themselves. Also, I have seen the film.
Hooooolllly crap man. Gah, so good, so very very good.
As far as the cinema community is concerned, it's not a great film. For those the film is aimed at, it will be a spectacular piece of visual pleasure and will give you that warm fuzzy feeling when you first played Final Fantasy VII.
You THINK you know it'll look fancy. Wait until you actually see it.

7th of December. That's the date listed on the website I usually buy dvds from... (http://www.familyboxoffice.com.au/)
I've seen the movie too, I watched it today... a supremely dodgy version, but a version none the less and oh-my-god does it rock. Like Nephtis said, it won't go down as a cinematic masterpiece, but for those of us who know and love the Final Fantasy series, well.... get a hold of the DVD the very second you can.
Oh the prettiness of it all...
and I want that sword - I won't say any more for fear of spoiling something cool. Nephtis(and anyone else who has seen it) should be able to figure out which one I'm talking about. |

yah what can i say
i think i understand what they mean by pausing and going back...
(not for the talking scenes as THEY described it...) rather.. the fighting scenes.
So.. fast.. so.. cool. Wanna do like a slow-mo
hahah
but um... an hour and 40minutes?
I guess it was good
Pretty funny at some parts too^^
not much of a..... storyline but eh~ |

plot? what plot?
I found that its one of those movies you watch and enjoy, and then once you've finished watching it you have no idea of any sort of plot/storyline. Just all the cool bits. |

I have to admit i was a little lost most of the time 'cause it's been a few years since i last played ff7. But yeah...plot was a little lacking but i thought it was awesome all the same. the fight scenes were SOOO~ MAAA~D!! loved it!! ^_^ the movie went too fast, i thought.
And...i was talking it over with a friend of mine and...did tifa and aeris do a chest swap or something? haha |

man... i'm so gonna buy the DVD but yeah having to wait for a bit longer does put me off a bit, but hey is it really that much more expensive to buy them online? i mean as long as your dvd player has no region issue...
oh yeah and from the trailer, i can see Tifa is so much better compared to the game (heck they were polygon blocks haha), oh and nice fighting scenes too |

Overall, they are all awesome...
I felt like wanting to play the game again. It's been so long since the last time I played it. Heck, I don't even remember when it was the last time.
The last battle scene was awesome. OMG! >< I normally don't squeel when I see 'him' XD But in fact, I did! In a high-pitch that I could come up with!!! XD
As for the Last Order...man! They should make more! They have to make it at least a 52 episodes of FF7!!! They HAVE to make more!!!
Hmm...I wonder if they ever gonna make a movie outta FF8...OMG...Squall. >< *faints* |

oh its MUCCCCCCH MUCH more better if you have played the game before watching it..
get a bit nostalgic and everything ya know
i think you'd probably get more of a laugh as well
and yeah its related. At least you'll know whats going on... sorta. And know who the characters are. etc ~
I mean, despite ff7 game being polygons and ... characters with nothing but eyes showing while ff7:ac is like. Holy woah. You'll be able to pick out all the similarities and just point and laugh. Arh it's great. |

Yes, very nostalgic... Reno+Zack are probably the coolest.. Vincent is the most dreamy... _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.

I bought the Japanese version from a cute Manga store in Wollongong at the start of this month and really liked it. I especially loved the varried versions of ff7 songs. Especially One Winged Angel *girly squeal*
I love the part where they're fighting really intense in the church and then the evil dude's phone rings and it's the victory song!! hahaha that's so funny! >_<
...*sigh* no where near as good as the game though _________________

no where as good as the game?
but its a movie. ?
i have to say..............
i love.....
CLOUD SMILES!
and i also have to say, that, THAT is the title of a piece from the OST. Before anyone tells me i'm some sorta cloud-maniac. It's pretty much the last piece played before the credits.
tatakau mono (piano version) is also a fave. |

The wolf, or dog, whatever... I think is supposed to be Fenrir (not the motorcycle). I'm not quite sure why this particular symbol was chosen for Aeris and Zack... One of my friends suggested it could represent Cloud/Zack being the "lone wolf". Maybe it's got something to do with Aeris being an Ancient and being close to the Planet...
Who knows what that crazy Tetsuya Nomura meant |
