I know there are threads already, but this one is in a more appropriate place 
Just watched the first episode, its pretty good. I havn't seen the other anime for this season but this one seems like a winner (I could be biased).
Anywho, heres my first impressions of it. *SPOILER FREE*
Storyline: 8/10. I'm really hoping this lives up to my expectations. It's strange seeing the characters as the way they are. I havn't recapped on Romeo and Juliet since maybe 5 years ago. I'd imagine this anime will follow a more original story line than Shakespeare's , but we'll see how it goes.
Music: 9/10. Sakimoto's style of music is perfect for Eminence. Of course, this is only basing it on first impressions. So far the themes fit appropriately for the scenes.
The OP theme is fairly cheesy. It's nice, but it sounds too much like some song that I can't remember atm. The ED is so and so, not so memorable.
Also, I love the song playing in the prologue. If you know your music, you can tell straight away its Sakimoto. The music in some scenes is so typical of him, not that its a bad thing. One of the tracks sounds like Penelo's theme from FFXII.
Voice Actor: 8/10. A fairly good cast, but I'm only familiar with a few names. Juliet's voice is a bit deep, but it suits her character, considering her situation in the anime as opposed to Shakespeare's original Juliet. On the bright side it's not squeaky.
Animation: 8/10. Comes along fairly well. I've had some bad experiences with Gonzo lately. I really hope they don't flunk it, but so far the brief action scenes are fancy, and character reactions and such are fluid. Character drawings are nice though, simple, but not bland. Once again, seeing some characters in anime form is a bit strange, but I can live with it.
Overall: 8.25/10. I'm picky with my anime. But so far its good. Gonzo have won me over for this one (after putting me off with two other anime). And at least I feel assured I won't be put off by dodgy music, which I think is crucial to watching anything. Special thanks to Sakimoto and Eminence for blessing us with a wonderful soundtrack.
