Out of interest, I heard there was going to be an Eminence stall there at EGX. Will you be selling merchandise there e.g. CDs, posters etc.?

The Simon thing aside ( Razz ), in terms of volunteering, I think it'd be a good idea to try and gather up as many of the volunteers from previous events, and to hear any criticsms they may have had during the running of these events. It's crucial to iron out any problems with previous events, and to draw on the experience of others, to help ensure that the biggest event yet (for Melbourne at least) runs as smoothly as possible. Eg. run more than just one meeting for volunteers, and not just a day before the event. Have someone who is fairly clued in on what's going on, and what needs to be done, chairing the meetings.

Either set up another thread for such matters, or have an email address provided to address these issues. Go go go! Very Happy

Way ahead of you, buddy Very Happy. I've already sent out a mass email to all volunteers from past Eminence events. So far, I've only received two responses despite my urging. Ah well, Methinks, it might be time for a mailing list of some sort. That and I need to recruit like mad.

Well, the forums may be a good idea, I really need the people to sign up for the forums, which they may not want to do (free choice and all), emails are easier. But the crucial factor is people need to reply.

Most of us cant afford to call 20+ people so we depend on people replying to our mass spam emails. Which are usually ignored. >.<

Hmm, this seems to be a prevailing issue...no worries, we are onto tha. Very Happy

For the time being, we advice you (thanks to bb_haha as well) to PM us, or alternatively you can try sending it to me. To my eminenceonline or hotmail email addresses, and I will be able to forward it to Robert.

Or try sending the email out to jyrds87@gmail.com.

Thanks!

I think all volunteers should be referred to as 'staff' or 'crew' from now on since there really is no difference as we all work voluntarily for the same cause. Having that volunteer/staff distinction is a bit disheartening sometimes and it kinda makes you think 'meh I'm just an insignificant volunteer, it won't hurt if I just bludge for a bit'.
