GREAT IDEA !
eminence should play something other than Joey~ & Nobby~ too.
eg: umm that composer....wat was his name..????????? damn.. i forgot his name... T_T.......ANYWAY..
and Alexey should play 'Mario Brothers' piano solo version in the next Piano Stories concert (that'd be PS4 ?? ) It sounds cool! and its fun to play |

Yasunori Mitsuda. Do it. (Note the English button for those of you that can't read Japanese)
Also:
Yuki Kajiura
Yoko Kanno
Yoko Shimomura
Let's get some Bleach music going too. (Shiro Sagisu)
And some Gunslinger Girl (Toshihiko Sahashi)
I could go on all day...

I heartily endorse this event and/or product. I also would like to agree with Nephtis' suggestion of playing more music composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.
I would love to hear music composed by:
Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill)
Tetsuya Takahashi (Appleseed)
Steve Jablonsky (Steamboy)
Michiru Oshima (Full Metal Alchemist)
Jeremy Soule (Dawn of War, Guild Wars)
Harry Gregson-Williams (Metal Gear Solid)
Hirokazu Ando (Super Smash Brothers Melee)
Heh, I can dream, can't I? |

Let's see... I'd love to hear more music from Yoko Shimomura and Yuki Kajiura Nothing that hasn't already been mentioned though. |

Suggest whichever comes to mind, think of this as a chance for the committee to do a little research and evalution before hand =] |

| I highly vouch for Hitoshi Sakimoto (FF Tactics/Vagrant Story/FFXII) and Yasunori Mitsuda stuff. |

Amen to the Zone of the Enders idea.
Yasunori also ftw. I'm not too fussed though, I just love the music and how it's played, no need to be picky. |

Both of these pieces were performed in Destiny: The Dream Time Ensemble late last year.

Indeed, though if popularity (the audience) warrents, we may have to play those pieces again |

May change once I've been to the concert on friday. You asked for it, can do a more detailed list if you want. There are lots of good pieces from:
- AMG Movie - some good stuff
- Argento Soma - esp A Wonderful World, which has a convenient orchestral version
- Beyond the Clouds - plenty of great strings-heavy pieces
- Crest of the Stars and Banner of the StarsI&II - epecially the openings
- Earth Girl Arjuna - esp Didn't it Rain and One
- Escaflowne TV and Movie - plenty of pieces to choose from (hello Dance of Curse)
- Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny - plenty of good pieces
- Hack Sign - mostly vocals or piano, but BT is a wonderful piano and strings piece
- Haibane Renmei - lots of pieces for a smaller group
- Hoshi no Koe - piano pieces
- Juuni Kokki - there are so many great pieces, but the opening is a standout (Juuni Genmu Kyoku)
- Last Exile - some good stuff
- Lodoss War (TV and OAV) - plenty of pieces, esp the orchestral version of Adesso E Fortuna
- Macross Plus - the National Anthem of Macross esp
- My Hime - mostly shorter pieces
- Noir - can you please play Canta Per Me?
- S.E.N.S. - have done heaps of stuff for piano
- Someday's Dreamers
- Sousei no Aquarion - esp Aquarius (requires a choir) and First Love Final Love
- Tsukihime - round up a choir for the opening, Sacred Moon! Not really your thing but one can hope.
- Turn a Gundam - esp Felicity and Song of a Stone
- Xenosaga TV - the Opening (requires choir) and Aoi Wakusei
- more music from Kiki, Porco Rosso, Laputa and Nausicaa
- Avalon (Japanese movie) - music by Kenji Kawaii, lots of good stuff, esp with vocals
that enough? |

Disney music would make an excellent addition to the program. A spin-off concert similar to World Of John Williams dedicated to pieces from these animated films would surely receive a warm welcome.
I for one highly appreciate musicals, and most people would highly enjoy the opportunity to listen to music from The Phantom Of The Opera or Les Miserables.
More Naruto music would be superb, and there is definitely a severe lack of Yasunori Mitsuda's work.
aimlesswanderer certainly had the right idea in requesting music from The Place Promised In Our Early Days.
Actraiser Symphonic Suite pieces would be perfect for orchestral performances. |
