it gave me a Xenogears-esque vibe (despite the fact that i've still yet to play the actual game, i've heard a few songs from the OST) upon first listen...

i think it's a really interesting concept as well, composing music based on a short story...pity my Japanese had gone from OK to bad in the past yr so i doubt i'll be able to understand much of the book :S

Hmm...the only track that I like from this album is the first one. That's it.

haha i like the whole CD =)

i think thats due to the fact i like modal music, Celtic style =) and lots more for the record.

Also the part where it used to be my waking up CD, but mainly through the holidays...and being lazy i would always sleep in and listen to the whole CD haha =)

but i have to say the first piece "Circle of Eternity" is very PRETTY =D

In "Upon the Melodies of the Moon" the vocal harmonies are quite good too XD

The female vocalist in "The Azure" and "Promise of Winds - Petals whereabouts" has a very enchanting voice. YES ENCHANTING INDEED! sounds so nice =) i think its the same person xP if not i need to get my ears checked...and i know they're already stuffed up more than enough hahaha

what are your fav's out of the CD?

My favourite piece is definetely "Kibou no Na wa", the second last track.
I love Eri Kawai (the vocalist for this CD, so yes chocohi, its the same vocalist for the songs), she puts so much emotion into her songs.

The lyrics are enticing, especially as it hits about 3:12 into the track (round and round~)

I made the biggest discovery today.
I found.. the lyrics book. It was inside the cd 'case'! I think my life is now complete.

The end.

You... fail.

For serious? You never wondered why the cd case seemed so fat?

You"ll be pleased to know though that the translation project is possibly at 0.002% completion. Rock on!

I'm thinking of starting with the lyrics first. This will be my first translation project (yay for taking on a harder project), so I'm thinking of starting with the lyrics to see how I can cope.

Edit: By popular demand of one vote (woo hoo), I will be starting with The Azure. Time to abscond the country and leave you all hanging.

Promise with Winds-Petals'Whereabouts

Scent of a town with good old memories A door I should open someday
Those gentle eyes You are surely who I was looking for
Meeting together here is a promise long time ago before we were born

The far unknown future, whatever the shape will be
Please find me

You do not have to put anything on my palm
Only you are here for me, only you are you,
Flowers will bloom, and drop to the sky, and a promise they inhabit a seed

The memories torn by wind Pick up one piece, and
Please create me

Pages that time turned over, whatever the story is
We will be together

How to sing (pronunciation)...↓

Kaze no yakusoku~hanabira no yukue

Natsukashii machino nioi Itsuka akeruhazuno doa
Odayakana sono manazashi Tashikani sagashitsuzuketa hito
Kokode futari deaukotowa umareru zutto maeno yakusoku

Tooi mishiranu mirai, Donna katachide itemo
Watashiwo mitsukete

Kono tenohiraniwa nanimo nosetekurenakutemoii
Kokoni itekurerudakede Anataga anatade arudakede
Hanawa saite Sorani chitte Chiisana taneni yadoru yakusoku

Kazeni chigireru kioku Kakera hitotsu hirotte,
Watashiwo tsukutte

Tokiga mekutta peiji, Donna monogataridemo
Issyoni irukara

I will also try to modify the pronunciations of the songs in Japanese into
the Roman alphabet.

So you might be able to sing the songs properly and clearly ! Razz

The Azure

The vast blue sky I look up silently
Stretch arms, and flap with invisible wings

Even though we lose this earth(planet) tomorrow

aeternus This hope(dream) left with us,
indelebis Waits for the time to wake like a shivering seed

The back turning around with a sparkle white breeze passed through
My sure feeling even can be broken if it is varied to saying

Even though we are lost tomorrow

aeternus A moment remained on my eyes,
indelebis Comes down the end of the grand adventure inevitably

aeternus This hope(dream) left with us,
indelebis Gets pregnant with a world which will be reborn again
aeternus A moment remained on my eyes,
indelebis Knocks at the rusty door of time again

How to sing(pronunciation)...↓

Soukyuu

Damatte miageru hatenaku aoisora
Ryoutewo hirogete mienai tsubasade habataite

Ashita konohoshiwo miushinattemo

aeternus Futarini nokosareta konoyumewa
indelebis Kogoeru tanenoyouni mezameru tokiwo matsuyo

Furimuku senakani kirameku shiroikaze
Tashikana omoimo kotobani kaeruto kowaresou

Ashita watashitachi kieteittemo

aeternus Konomeni kizamareta issyunwa
indelebis Harukana tabino hateni kanarazu maioriruyo

aeternus Futarini nokosareta konoyumewa
indelebis Mouichido umarekawaru sekaiwo migomatte
aeternus Konomeni kizamareta issyunwa
indelebis Mouichido sabita tokino tobira tataku

The Name of Our Hope

The breeze born in the morning
Comes through a crack of the window to wake me up

Your voice that reaches my ears
Flowers will bloom tomorrow
The dream someone had in the past lasts

Came back from a distant journey
I will wake up here, so please be beside me

While I was walking down a long night
I called your name all the time
The road will continue morning and continue the hope(dream)

Rotate, rotate, our hourglass
The breeze runs through grass waves

Sway, sway, in sunshine through the trees
A green bud wakes up quietly

Return, return, sunlight pours and,
Thaws the white field and spring will come

How to sing it(pronunciation)...↓

Kibou no nawa

Asani umareta haruno kazega
Madono sukima nukete Okoshini kuru

Mimini todoku anatano koe
Hanawa ashita sakuyo
Mukashi darekaga mita yumewa tsuzuku

Tooi tabishite kaeritsuita
Kokode mezamerukara tonariniite

Nagai yoruwo arukinagara
Zutto namae yonda
Michiwa asae tsuzuki yumee tsuzukuyo

Maware mawareyo futarino sunadokei
Kusano namimawo kakenuke kazega yuku

Yureru Yureruyo kirameku komorebini
Aoi tsubomiwa shizukani mewosamasu

Meguru meguruyo hizashiwa furisosogu
Shiroi daichiwo tokashite harugakuru
