I'm a but rusty on my anime music, but heres some stuff I've given thought to:
- Last Exile (Dolce Triade)
- Sokyuu no Fafner; Sometimes referred to as just "Fafner" (Tsuneyoshi Saito)
- Le Portrait de Petit Cossette (Kajiura Yuki) |

Off the top of my head,
Itoushi hito no tameni (end version) - Fushigi Yuugi - It's such a lovely melody
Come sweet death (Komm, Süsser Tod) - Neon Genesis Evangelion - My friend mentioned it and I remembered how much I loved the song
I"ll do some research and get back to you :p |

Cruel Angel Thesis, (neon genesis evangelion)
its simply amazing in its orchesterial form, not to mention that eminence would really stand out with Ayako and Hiro playing violin in it...
Its the kinda song to make you cry... |

OURAN HIGH HOST CLUB! if you guys did an Ouran medly, that would be THE BEST! Also because they have a lot of orchestra songs in the soundtrack!

hahah been waiting for this trhead for too long. Where shall i start?
Yuki Kajiura - Mai
i know its been done at passions but theres just so many different combinations that can be done to it. For example for the passions concert, u emphasised the violin at the beginning which was just wonderful!
Yuki Kajiura - Liminality
Choir + great instumental = Goodie!
SeeSaw - Anna Ni Issho Datta No Ni
I have an orchestral version done by the Lond Symphony Orchestra. I believe eminence can do it better and its a great song =] |

oooo definitely some full metal alchemist again ! and inuyasha would be pretty awesome! although i don't many song names XD oooh i was wtaching monster recently, they had some pretty good songs! everytime i watch an anime or play a game now, i always imagine seeing eminence play all the songs live :p and how awesome it would be! NARUTO AND BLEACH! ummm in bleach i reckon "destiny awaits" sounds really kool! :p and naruto maybe "naruto main theme" i mean cleary! hahaha it would be so awesome if somehow eminence invited the manga artists XD but that would be soooo hard :p ooooh! |

Remember, everyone, Hiro said "symphonic".
Canta per Me isn't really symphonic, it has piano, violin, and vocal. Canta per Me II would be a little better, but still lacks a variation of instruments.
And the techno sounds in Melody (Salva Nos version) would be difficult to reproduce in an orchestra.
Although I too would very much like these to be performed, but we should stick to the criteria.
So please keep your suggestions to only songs that are suitable for an entire orchestra, everybody. It'll make it easier for Eminence to choose the songs.
Hiro,
Are we limited to songs without words also? 'Cause I was thinking, a great song (but has words) would be Sakura Taisen - Kiseki no Kane. |

| I think Lilium has potential. It doesn't utilise brass, but piano, two sets of violins, and a choir would do the trick. |

I found a lovely piece from Fruits Basket. Its the orchestral version of For Fruits Basket. So beautiful~ ^-^
For Fruits Basket (Orchestral Ver.)
Well, if it specifically says (Orchestral version), then I think it should be OK. Lol. =P
And don't worry, my previous post wasn't targeted at you. It's just a general reminder to everyone. |

Hey ryunite,
I originally thought Lilium wouldn't be suitable either, but after listening to it carefully, it might just pass.
I personally do have some songs that would make me cry if they were played:
Shingetsutan Tsukihime - Prayer
Shingetsutan Tsukihime - Destiny
Shingetsutan Tsukihime - Wounds
Shingetsutan Tsukihime - Crescent
Shingetsutan Tsukihime - The Sacred Moon
Violinist of Hamlin - Requiem (This one would be so exciting to watch Hiro and Ayako play, it would just totally own. If you've heard it before, you'll know why. =) If you haven't, I can send you the MP3.)
But, like I said, these songs aren't exactly suitable. =( |

Thats ok, one of our staff will arrange the music in such a way that it will be suitable for it to be played by an orchestra, if possible.
Im not sure when the deadline has to close in order to meet other planned milestones upahead.
So keep posting suggestions everyone!
I have few, but dont have time to siff through all the junk i have XD
Omg! OK, then I have a long list myself then. XD
I will filter mine down too, then post back here in a couple of days.
Meanwhile, here's Requiem from Violinist of Hamlin, so you can all understand what I mean (imagine how much head-swaying Hiro would be doing when you listen to it =P).

Complicated Decision - Last Exile OST1
A Stimulant - Last Exile OST2 <- Joshua Hill solo!
Lost Friend - Last Exile OST2 (A little long...)
Counterattack - Last Exile OST2
and of course, LASTEXILE - Last Exile OST2, long, but brilliant...
I really should just list them myself and try to cut down, but too many songs to choose from! Especially if I keep digging through my albums! |

Keep these as requests for the next Passion-esque concert!!!
You know what else might be good from Noir OST though - Le Grand Retour. It's 'full' and powerful however not too sure how manageable it would be as a symphonic piece (bagpipes, anyone?).
Or Killing - and the choir can sing in it too. |

Oh yes - please!
Other thoughts that came to mind:
Fukai Mori - Inuyasha (symphonic wind edition; or any of the other theme symphonic editions!)
Myung's Theme - Macross Plus
Tori no Uta - AIR (Movie edition)
Brothers - Fullmetal Alchemist (or similiarly, Sad Resolution from Conquerer of Shamballa)
Borderline Case & Mother is the First Other - Symphony of Evangelion edition
and maybe something from Gedo Senki.
I know some have been played before, but not by the full orchesta. Might be fun!
P.S. I'm sure everyone will think I'm crazy but... prehaps something from one of the Pokemon movies. There's nice music there! |
