Just curious, is anything ever mentioned about concert etiquette? (I can't remember from the grand total of one concerts I've ever heard -_-') I was just thinking about this as there's a lot of coughing in the WoJW CD ^_^

I mean, yeah people can't help coughing and it'd be worse in a small hall than a large one and so on, but still maybe people don't know how much it stands out? The ACO put a little bit in their program about it that even kindly informed the audience of the sound level in decibels of a cough and suggested using a handkerchief to reduce the sound to pianissimo. Or something like that. Not that Eminence is so ... what's the word ... elitist? Hmm.

Or is it not much of a problem?

Just curious Laughing

Concert Etiquette? Or more of what Eminence adopts?

Eminence doesn't have anything solid in a policy written down in stone. I used to have a wiki, but Santa indirectly wiped it off. It had a whole list of questions relating to etiquette or rather, more of what we would expect.

But no, it generally hasn't been much of a problem in what people wear. Anything comfortable and yet appropriate to the occasion.

Hmm, I meant more in terms of how people behave during concerts - things like coughing, or (heaven forbid) talking, or whatever. And mobile phones and that. For one thing I know people are specifically told not to use recording devices and this is written on the tickets too. Where some others would have 'Patrons disrupting the performance will be ejected from the venue.' ^_^

its a catch 22 thing, things written down is for legal purposes as always. If something does happen, and it does result us in having to kick people out then yes we can do that because its inscribed onto their tickets. However, thinking a little ahead its a choice thats not always exercised as whats written down.

Of course recording things when you shouldnt is frowned upon, thats all we can do. Unless, we had a complicated setup where people left any visual electronic equipment behind in a store-room. Sorta like how bags are left at starcity and all you have to do is present a docket to collect your goods. Even doing that requires work.

Oh, have you sat in concerts and see a couple RIGHT in front of you making out XD
Very distracting...XD

I've only been to rock concerts where that's happened. What gets on my nerves is when people in the audience try to critique the musicians or complain about the song choices.
