I went there end of last year, it was awesome. I went toOsaka first then to Kyoto, Mount Fuji and last stop was Tokyo. I went to Disney theme park as well, it was great. Its way bigger than I thought, and its fully packed inside(queue up 3 hours for a game, 1 hour for getting a burger and 30mins to a small popcorn). Japan is really small, packed but much cleaner than Sydney.

I was there on holiday with my mum more than 10 years ago. The only thing I remember is that I was at Disney Land and I was crying because this roller coaster I was on was so freaken scary. Havent been on a "rough" rollercoaster since. Japan has given me rollercoaster-phobia.
Lining up for the traffic light green man... wow..
I cant imagine a thing happening in more densely populated areas though. _________________

Oww, for that I didn't see any, but one thing about their drink machine is they have hot drinks and cold drinks, so good especialy you get a can of hot coffee any way(drink machines are every where). The choices are alot more than here (around 6 x 3 or 6 x 4). _________________ Music is my soul

well i went to japan via school exchange in 2001. it was fun. 14 days in tokyo with host family, and 4 days in kyoto, basically by ourselves, well with teacher, but like 6 hrs of roaming time... I want to go back.. _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.

you must be somewhat fluent at it then?
My school offered japanese as a course until this year XD. its popularity died out.
In year 5 and 7 i was taught Italianthough and i was almost topping the class lol. can't remember anything any more though.
I dont really know much jap at all, a few friends did japanese in year 7 as well, but when it was time to choose our electives in year 8 there were only around 5 people who chose to do japanese as a subject so the class was cancelled.
Japanese is really unpopular (not hated, just no interest) at the school now and is no longer taught to year 7s. only Italian and Spanish >.< what a shame. I'm not sure if it is available as an elective for year 8-10 though.
This year though for year 11 + 12 there are 2 guys who are doing that study japanese by themselves while some teacher checks up on their learning every few weeks. |

I read somewhere earlier this year that the majority of students who learn Japanese these days do so because of interest in anime. I don't remember the percentage, but I'm going to blindly assume it was around 70%. Just because. _________________ "Your hope ends here... And your meaningless existence with it!!" -- Seymour, FFX |

i wouldn't be surprised if the percentage was that high, but in my class at school about half the people watch/have watched anime....but i only have about 20 or 21 people in my class...
yeah chocohi... im somewhat fluent... tho i think fluent might be too strong of a word to describe my fluency....
lol XD |
