Well, probably the only game besides KH2 that Ill be buying
Why?
Because its based a year after Advent Children and the FFVII gang is in it.
It also gives insight into Vincents story and Sephiroths natural mother appears quite often too (from what Ive seen in the trailers)
Itll be different, first person shoot em up/action/ whatever they call it
But again, the FF7 story continues _________________ Never Alone... |

Makes you wonder how far the FF7 storyline can go
But I'm also really looking forward to it, though. It looks very classy and, from what I've heard so far, the music sounds great (score by Masashi Hamauzu). Overall, it appears to be a very enjoyable game all round.
Besides, who doesn't want to see what happens in the (now extended) ff7 legacy? _________________ "Your hope ends here... And your meaningless existence with it!!" -- Seymour, FFX |

I actually agree, games like Halo tend to make me dizzy
but DOC looks different - I think theres a bit more to it then just first person view shoot em. Its been dubbed a 'shooter rpg' and from what Ive seen there's a definate metal gear solid style
Ive seen the Redemption clip and it looks stunning, CGI and all. Theres some variation to just 'shooting' since the clip portrayed vincent transforming into his limit break beasts - which you can play
Despite all this my first post and mysterious X sums it up! Its all about knowing what happens next in the ff7 world _________________ Never Alone... |

You dont play flying games much do u?
DoC will just be Devil May Cry with Vincent instead of Dante. Btw, number 4 is in production. _________________ God's In His Heaven. All's Right With The World.

From some of the gameplay trailers I've seen, this game looks shit. Not that it's a slight on the game...okay, maybe it is...anyway, I don't really see this game working. I must admit the cut scenes look fancy but the gameplay isn't. Vincent just randomly fires a gun, and it takes some time to aim. It looks set to be tedious.
With what we've seen from Vincent, both from the games and the movie, couldn't he be more powerful with some fancy moves a la Dante. Then again that could be labelled as a Devil May Cry clone.
Ah well. SquareEnix should have made it unique at least. _________________

Seriously looked like some shooter, but apparently it's not

(Hyper Magazine has the best comments.)
It's more likely to be similar to a Resident Evil 4... |

Let's not forget it got the lowest possible score from Famitsu that a Square Enix game can get.

I was never really excited or had confidence in it for that matter since day 1 when it was announced. Shooters tend to be stuck in only castle type environs, dank and dull with no colour. Real turn off.
Also, story continuation became irrelevant after AC. Cloud dealing with Aerith's death is legitament story continuation but the rest was BS.
Well aparently it will be a decent game with the tweaks they've made in the English version so I guess I'm buying it on the account that I'm a consumer whore. |

Man I was excited over the game!!!
It contained FMV that look like cuts from the Advent Childenn move!!
It also dosn't focus on Cloud/Tifa!! (I still like them, but Advent Children killed it a bit with me)
Alright!!
I find it strange that no one pick up this game instantly...
Also why is it taking this long to convert??
I mean its not a RPG with TONS of text...
Well the US gets the game in Auguest.
No offical date for PAL yet .
Heh there also Dirge of the Cerbrace: Lost Chapters on mobiles...
So dosn't look like FFVII is going R.I.P anytime soon... |
