hahah ah that's a different environment entirely! Classical is appreciated, hip-hop is ... well, you gotta throw yourself into it =)
Happy (to some extent) to see that I wasn't the only one disappointed with the crowd. The pro photographers (or at least the ones with chunky cameras ) didn't cause any annoyance.
One question I guess I'd have is what happened to the program guides?! Destiny's were lovely, but the paper.. dunno guys >.> |

| That reminds me... I had this girl sit next to me, and I had no idea what she was doing. She seemed to have nodded off into a sleep, but when everytime a piece had finished, she would sit up wide awake, clapping...! Maybe she wasn't really asleep... |

That's really good to hear. I hope no one was bothered by the shutter sounds. It all sounded so loud while taking the photos.
I was disappointed to see flash photography coming from the audience though. From my birds eye view I could see who took them. Was tempted to snap a pic of the offenders with my zoom lens, but thought that wouldn't be very nice |

Yeah I think you had a much quieter shutter on your Nikon than Ken and I did on our Canons though. I could hardly hear yours. Mine almost sounded like a gunshot as it was such a quiet environment! I was afraid to take too many shots during the performances in case I disturbed those around me.
As for the 'offenders' I could see them too, however they didn't seem to care that others around them were looking at them. Very disappointing....don't think that you snapping a photo of them would have made much difference either I reckon!

I dont think its ever a good idea to "cure" onsite problems, depending on how annoying it is
Unless you guys start to change attitudes, you definately cant change their behaviour to be at a reasonable level _________________

I'l add myself to the list of people that were disappointed by those taking pictures. I spotted atleast two people that looked like they were there for the sole purpose of taking photographs.
Its very disappointing to see the lack of respect the musicans received. When you take photos, you not only disrespect the muscians, you are disrespecting those who put their time and effort as volunteers into putting together such an amazing concert for you to see. Chances are low that you will get good enough quality photos for you to keep.
On a brighter note, the concert was amazing to listen to and watch. These things take a lot of time and effort to put together. I'd like to thank everybody who made it possible. It was really good and I enjoyed being a part of it to capture the concert. |

One of the guys sitting in the choir seats in front of the organ had a camera and was constantly focusing it on the performers and i wanted to tell him off...he didn't use his flash until the very end, but didn't he realise that *everyone* could see him?! even after we'd all been told htat photography and all recording was prohibited hahaha
i reckon you should've taken photos of offenders...and put the piccies up on a 'wall of shame' website or something hahaha jks _________________

ya know what... i totaaaally agree... and then we could have security throw em out and then post up like a total page with all their faces saying... BANNED FROM EMINENCE CONCERTS FOREVER. hahahaha! that'll teach em...
ya know, i totally dreamt of it the night i came back from PS3.. i enjoyed it so much and... being me, i dont usually:
a. dream about past events (i prefer premonitions! ^^)
b. remember my dreams
but i could this time, and it was bloody awesome to relive it again. hehehe... _________________ This is my Spirit~Hear me Roar!

This is my first ever piano/any musical instrument I've been to and it was just simply amazing. I enjoyed every moment of it. The piano's were fantastic, but I must say.. when Ayako Ishikawa and Hiroaki Yura came out with the violins and started playing then in conjunction with the piano.. I was literally shaking after their performance.. I just can't come up with a word to discribe it. I will DEFINATELY go to ANIF06 (if I manage get myself a ticket) and the next PS!
GREAT performance and will be looking forward for your next performace(s) |

i liked "one summer's day", "il porco rosso" and "two of us" the most
the "il porco rosso" was really nice...i wished it was on CD
i could only find one piano version on the internet
but not the version Alexey played last night
the only complaint i want to make is....DID U REALLY HAVE TO TEAR MY TICKET??????? my poor ticket!!!!! AHHHHH~~~~~~~~
can't u hole-punch it???? or make a really cute eminence stamp, and stamp it on the ticket as we go in??
|
I wholeheartedly agree! Those too are my favourites of the night and unfortunately they aren't on the CD, I can understand though, it's called Journeys on a Piano ... so only solo-piano pieces.
/sigh |

To be honest, I really enjoyed the performance. I really do.
BUT! To have one of the piece been replayed is just...a bit of a turn off. >.< It would be nice if you can arrange another piece which isn't listed on the programme. Now THAT would be a major turn on! |

HI~!!
I'm new but anyways, I went to see the PS III show in Sydney the other night and it was absolutely brilliant~!! I loved the music, and I too thought that it lacked FFX-2 themes but it doesn't matter that much. It's too bad though that on the Soundtrack, it doesn't have any of the songs with the violinists playing in them. Well...actually I think it does but the violinists just weren't playing. Afterwards, Alexey, Hiro and Aya were giving autographs downstairs so as soon as the show finished, I rushed out and was first in line. I got the impression that all 3 are very nice people and everyday since the concert, I have listened to the CD at least once. My fave songs were Vamo' alla Flamenco, the Ending Theme from FFX, One Summer Day, Two of Us, Nocturne and Always With Me. Everyone did a GREAT job and Hiro was very funny. |

I organised the trip down to sydney for my sister and i to see PSIII. We caught the train for 7hours... 2 hours into the trip, my sister turns to me "so... have you got the tickets?" ...*flashes to tickets laying on counter at HOME* "nooooooooooooooo!"
I went to Kinokiniya to get more tickets but they were sold out...
*sigh* I better make it to ANIF 06 or there'll be trouble. I can't believe i missed hearing Suteki da ne! *bangs head against wall* _________________

That would have been an odd one to sort out on the night I must say. I'm not sure what I'd say if someone came and claimed they forgot their tickets. Nonetheless you probably should have tried, though I can't really say what would have happened. _________________
