I don't know if it's just me, but isnt it a bit inconvenient to have the the ANIF concerts at the end of the year?

It kind of prevents HSC and university students from coming due to the fact we have assessments and examinations during this period?

I know a few friends who would have loved to come last year and also this year.

Does anyone feel the same way?

hhhmmm yeah actually it is a bit iconvinient, cause my ui (for some reason) loves to torture all their students by having 5 or 6 assessments due on the same week and it's always on a monday! arrrggghhhh yeah it would be great even if the concert is held at beginning of oct, should be mid-break for most unis and school i suppose?

just my opinion

btw i'm coming to the concert by "sacrifising" an assessment Twisted Evil Twisted Evil haha just kidding, luckily this year is not that hectic that's all Wink

Yea, i wanted to go to ANIF 04, last year, especially since i just found out back then that they have this sort of thin in Austraila, and Nobuo Uematsu would be there, (my favorout composer, FF music my favourite music).

But yea, i had the HSC, one test right befor the concert so i couldnt go, i was so sad, but i got to go to ANIF 05 (my first one, my first concert for that matter), so yay.

yes im aware it is stupid and im not taking the hsc seriously but ive found alternatives and prepared myself....

BE COOL, STAY IN SCHOOL, DONT BE A FOOL!

follow this advice people..follow it as it comes from a man who is largely aware of his mistake.

I think a mod should clean up some threads seeing as things are getting totally out of wack Shocked
lol

They tell you the hsc is the most stressful exam period. What they dont tell you is uni can be so depressing, and you still get hard exams, only in uni its every six months Confused

dun tell them that! Razz Razz Razz that's the awful truth!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil oh heck anyway gonna spill some secrets, yeah when ur in uni....

bad: exams every 6 months, oh prob 4 of them n they're 3 hours each, engineering ==> expect up to 8 in extreme cases
worse: you fail a subject, you have to do it again
ugly: if ur unlucky enough, u get to keep the failing mark not the passing mark >_<

yeah, HSC is not that bad after you enter uni Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad and for those graduating will say that working life is even worse ouch >_<

exams.. aren't necessarily THE most horrible thing in uni

its the goddamn assns.

but everything depends what course you do :p
Anything with the word engineering in it.............. be prepared.

And if you procrastinate. for just a bit..then... good luck.
T_T that would be meeee.

My turn to stay away from Eminence forums. Smile ...i..hope...
now that you all have your fanclub forum!! haha
I can rest peacefully without fearing ppl going crazy everywhere.

Thats true, tats why i tell the kiddies that uni is practically hsc every 3-4 months, and your academic transcript is like a criminal record, lol sorry to be blunt =P

it really depends if your employer whose looking at your marks, wants to hire you to do the job, and do it well, and usually the first objective thing they look at is MARKS

unless you're very talented at other things besides academic that sells, like picking up an instrument and become successful in that it earns well, then...
thats the other path to walk =]

other than that, LISTEN TO YOUR PARENTS and chill out a bit ^_-

dude..... you're right on the spot! i'm in an engineering course noooooooooo................... T_T yup another horrible truth it's always week 7 and 14 where 4 reports with 2.5k words each are due huhuhu. But hey then again won't music degree be a lot harder?

anyway, other than that, i still prefer to uni because i can "excuse myself from lectures" whenever i want, eehhhmm i'm giving bad lessons here Razz

i bet engineering courses are hell, or is that just me?

law/commerce students have soo less contact hours, and i see them in yellow shirts and doing heaps of volunteering around uni, espeiclally around club voting periods ><""

but hey, thing is, its soo easy getting pass marks, anything higher is a tough road to walk any further

Just curious, i had a friend, who i hear is very good at playing the piano, if they entered in a competition in the conservatorium, are they elite?

O_O;;;

engineering is more than hell, esp with combined degree

yellow shirts? ur talking about the UNSW ones? yeah heck it's all guys in engineering (boring! Razz) law/commerce students? wow it's all sydney grammar and james ruse graduates in there! and they have so much better time with less contact hours and assignments! but of course to get in is tough! voting time? heck i always take a detour to avoid the campaigners Razz

quite true, passing is easy.... but not in engineering, to pass is a blessing Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

competition in the soncervatorium? wow must be elites! that's where all/most eminence musicians are from! Shocked

IPP? you mean the industrial placement? yup that's the 6 months paid (70% i think) work experience. Otherwise you still have to find yourself an industrial training for 60 days otherwise you won't graduate Sad, this is at least in UNSW

anyway back to the topic, so how's HSC for you guys? finished already?

arh con.. well that depends what kinda competition it is.. it could be just a competition held at the con.

i thought some of the hsc music exams were held there too.. oh well

Smile

ergh the con, its a scary place. Try going one day and you'll be going "woahhh hot girl... .Woaaaaaaah another hot girl... OMG hot guy........ *goes to corner and cries*"

Thus.......I prefer UNSW. hahaha where normal ppl go to. A place without those radiant creatures ...
