Yes Ive seen the animation, though havent read the manga.
I find the anime interesting and mysterious at the beginning.
Some how, its very popular with girls than guys _________________

saw the anime first, then started reading the manga. The anime was quite goood, like thingy said.. not great, but good.
the manga right now is kinda "uhhh..." too much thinking, not enough doing. |

I used to have a cat named 'Kyo Sohma' based from this anime (and Kyo was a ginger cat too) because this anime is just too cute to watch and very lovable characters are among them! |

Lookin' good there Robert...
And yes, FB was cute...I'm hoping they release a second series of the anime though, given it's rather abrupt ending. |

So you're telling me shoujo is basically crap that doesn't make sense? Both shows are weird, random and stupid. Funny that. Does Tsubasa Chronicle count as shoujo? If so that wasn't random crap that didn't make sense... _________________

So you're telling me Fruits Basket is absolute crap. Well No comment
It's nice and sweet and sad and funny in all levels. Same with Honey and Clover. It's a lot deeper than it may look.
Tsubasa Chronicle.. i wasn't sure was shoujo.
But that turned out pretty boring to me.
I think I was stuck cuz of the music. Really nice stuff... |

I stopped watching Honey and Clover because it made no sense and was far too random. I stopped watching Fruits Basket after episode one because there was a clear fanservice (bishi-wise) and a girl who lived in a tent and talked to a photo. It was weird and stupid.

hahah hey actually
i watched the first episode of fruist basket and thought.. "Oh wtf.. this is going to suck .. damnit. i'll.. give it 2 more episodes."
But hey, i ended up loving it as much as its.. listed as shoujo. It doesnt have the lovelly dovelly crap that makes most shoujo anime suck.
same with honey and clover. it was pretty random and i still didn't know what was going on after a couple of eps.
but.... it .. was weird. its nice to watch. and then it becomes clear.
the artwork/music everything has a nice feel to it haha |

There was a hagu?!?
I love Fruits Basket! I love all the feel-good lines that Tohru costantly uses. All the stuff about just being yourself and enjoying life as it goes (you know...'life, the universe, two thumbs up' kind of stuff).
The random comedy bits are just hilarious. No matter how many times I watch it, I still manage to crack up at the jokes, however pointless they may be.
The manga's starting to wrap up in Japan. I hope once it's complete, they'll think about finishing off the story in anime form. :fingers crossed: Hears to hoping. (Manga info ahead, only read if you don't mind spoilers: there would probably be a problem casting Akito's seiyuu... seeing as how Akito's real identity has been revealed. They used a very manly voice for her in the anime so it's not like they could fudge it and write it off as her using a deeper voice to keep up the disguise.)
And the music, (written by Ritsuko Okasaki) is so appropriate for the series! Very sweet and optimistic stuff. It's a shame she died (of a sepsis shock due to a bloodstream infection, of all things to die from). _________________ Due to recent financial restructuring, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off. |
