Bootlegs. Gotta hate them. For those who aren't informed, they're pirated things.
Recently bought a Utada Hikaru album - totally bootleg. I mean one of the song titles is: Time will tell.... on the back it's typed:
"ti me will tell" - in small caps.......
'special' is written as 'speci al'
Furthermore, in the booklet, it has dodgy versions of scanned sheet music of the music - what kind of album has the actualy scanned sheet music?!?!?!
But i guess the first impression is the bad printing of the case etc.
Mind you, this bootleg company is:
KI TEN DIGITAL MEDIA CO. LTD.
with contact details (02) 28369388 - somebody wanan ring up? apparntly it's in sydney - ha!
Anyone got any other bootleg brands?
Or just wants to flame? Post here! |

lol you really shouldnt post up explicit details that defames any company that does businesses "illegally"
If you felt like you've been cheated go call up the proper people that handle "rip-off" versions from the original materials
The only bootleg versions i bought are anime series, though translations were so tarted, i only bought them if they were animes i couldn't get
And silly you, you should've known it was bootleg in the first place =P
go to
cdjapan.co.jp if you want legit things from artists |

because you bought the bootleg materials "knowingly" from reading your first post

I dont get this sentence, obiviously when you buy goods it always carries risks, and if you ever bought things you'd know that every legit company that people use always carry policies. Go read up on them if you feel like...

well no ccjc
i didn't "knowingly" (as u put it) buy the product. rather, a friend bought it, who i thuoght would've bought a legitamate, i mean he intended to, but i guess it's hard to spot the difference (no it isn't).
since it's bootleg, i'm not using the product
is that any easier to understand? |

The bootlegs are obiviously copied from the originals, and you're suggesting to however you may describe it so, that you dont listen to music downloaded from the internet, which may be breaking the "copyright" policies? |

Yeah, piracy is a strange thing. I think companies should actually work with it than trying to stop it. In china its actually been proven to be good for the economy (dont quote me.. read it in time magazine i think). With their average wage being 68c and hour for mainland china, how do u expect them to pay for anything real.
Of course, they're still in communism land. And what do i know, I got threatened by Universal Studios in 2002, saying that they'll take legal action against me.
I'm clean now.. i swear...
Ill shut up now... |

http://www.smh.com.au/news/National/Central-Coast-man-faces-extradition-to-US/2005/03/10/1110417612703.html
that was in the australian also
It raised an issue that, if warnings didnt have any effect on you changing your habit. Be prepared to face the full force of America's law system when they can llegally get you exported overseas and be placed on a trial.
For all of you users who think you're safe if you were in some other country that would make it literally impossible for you to become prosecuted by U.S law.
Think again, if you're one lucious lolly pop that the americans could get a hold of, they will.
The law attempts to restrict the mass of users from breaking it, but stressing again, if you're just that ONE special exception. The high courts could literally send you off for trial rather than thousands of people who haven't broke major offenses compared to you
Tips to avoid the system (shouldn't be done in practice):
1. Dont be silly and expose your bum, butt naked across the internet
2. Blocking IPs such as those from RIAA wont work, for those who use BT, do remember your ip is logged into tracker
3. For those who use proxies,....
...how on earth could you bear the appalling speeds? O_o;;;
4. Dont download anything from america,
GO UNLICIENCED ANIME!!!
5. Dont be a w@r3z distributor, DUH.
Do the above and you MAY be undetected....but that goes without saying that the legal system is always changing to combat serious issues.
One day just like busting pedos with kiddy pr0nz across the world, one day, the americans will take serious actions for even the most minor piracy offendors...
Even if, its ridiculous to charge people because there's soo many offenders out there. I beg to differ |
