gosh...

i just finished "love story in harvard" the other day, it was fantastic....a really nice drama to watch

though its in korean, not jap, if you're a jdrama fan =P

Another good one, would be, thats also korean is, "the sad love story"
which i havent watched yet, and trying to get, lol

has anyone seen "stairway to heaven"?

If you're not the lovey dovy type, there's a drama out that aims at slightly for teenage kids, "Garo" sounds awesome, its like your version of power-ranger going solo, except it isnt exactly that way...

watch it and find out =]

you should read the translations from "Dragon Sakura" in the intro of it =P

you can definately tell a girl fansub it, lol

Quote:
*stary eyes*

it always said the above quote =P

btw, dragon sakura, is another good drama to watch, its inspirational, funny, and not deeply romantic =P

lol true.
classic formula for a hit korean drama:
tragic family history+long lost relative/acquaintance/lover/pet+incurable illness+unrequieted/forbidden love+love triangle/square etc = HIT!

if that doesn't do it, stick in a car crash somewhere and a handful of major character deaths. Wink

best korean drama had to be ollin [sounds like all-in] based on a true story

if u wanna watch just go to strathfield, inside strathfield plaza and find a korean music store and just ask for the dvd box set...comes with subbies dubbies and whateva extra u might expect from dvd

maybe the other movie maybe "il mare", ok honestly i think the movie sucks in perspective of story line, but if you look from the artistic part, say the background and the design of the stages, it's really really good! watch it if ur into taking natural scenery with video cameras

another movie/drama eh? i dun really like the action ones, tends to be really really violent...

japanese ones.... battle royal? uuuhhh no thanks i dunno why but i just can't stand watching it...

btw did somebody say densha otoko, is it really based on true story?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Densha_otoko

LUV k-drama

Cried my eyes out in Stairway to Heaven
and laughed my heart out in My Sassy girl Laughing

they make the most melodramatic dramas and I can't help but luv them even though it's getting really cliche

These are must watch !!!!!!!
Surprised

I LOVE K-DRAMA

Of course j-drama's realli good but I have yet to watch one. I've got Densha Otoko but will get about to watching it later.

k-drama makes u laugh Laughing ,cry Crying or Very sad or both Laughing Crying or Very sad and it realli gets u into it
it's so damn addictive. Although the stroylines are realli similar there's always a certain substance which makes it a bit different

Must Watch are: Stairway to Heaven
Autumn Tale
All in
Sad Love Story
[Movie] My Sassy Girl
Full House
Love Story in Harvard
Glass Shoe
Sweet 18
Winter Sonata
Wink LUV'EM

Awww...but some are just classics.

I think the first Jdrama I watched was the cantonese dub of Oshin (阿信的故事<<I think this is what it's called in Chinese) waaaay back in kindy or year 1 when I had no idea what Japan was or what Japanese sounded like. I spent a few years thinking the whole drama was set in ancient China before I started taking Japanese lessons at school and thinking "hey, those kimono look a lot like the stuff they wore in Oshin!" (Not that I knew it was called Oshin until a couple of weeks ago when I spotted the tapes in Fisher Library.)

I saw two while i was in tokyo that i really want to know the name of.

1) is weekly drama that tells a love story and reuses actors weekly. one of the actors names are ebi-chan or ebipuri or something. i thought it was cute.

2) the other is a cool one about a cowboy who saves girls. i think it was called garu sa. can anyone confirm this? i have no idea!
