Hey there,
I have been interested in getting a small group of people together to look at busking in Melbourne, and am interested in playing anime and video game music. Spoke to people at the VCA but not a large response.
ANyway, bucking licenses in Melbourne are free, and i am hoping to get more music expereice (have played flute for 10 years) without trudging the rest of my AMEB grades just yet. Also want to play calssical but solo flute on the street is not a popular thing.
Also i am not sure whether busking breaks any laws as far as copyright goes, any points there would also be useful
Furthermore, if there is chance to work with people on composition, i have got musical knowledge, but lack the ability to start and usually learn better through expereince and would not composing and performing original work!! _________________ Music is great by itself, but having music bring a story to life is unbelieveable!!!
My pets names have chrono, chrono2, chrono3 etc...... why so many....dont ask.... |

Hopefully, depending on work . But as of now i am intending on attending ANIF06, and have a few mates that would be keen too.
Since i have not been to previous concerts i was wondering if there was any visual presentations with the audio, such as video clips or narration, similar to that of Play!? I have spoken to performing arts students and they thought the idea of combining computer animators, (IT students and Graphic Art students), as well as musicians and stage performancers could really change how a concert is presented and help develop opportunities for young artists.
It is really annoying that we do not have as many maestros to help develop the potential Mozarts that are out there that are forced to do mundane work to feed themself.... _________________ Music is great by itself, but having music bring a story to life is unbelieveable!!!

in addition to my original post, i forgot to explain that an intention of busking was also a medium that if people got together and composed some work, which would be easier with a smaller number of instruments, they could be performed on the street.
I am also aware that the midi scores would also take a bit of editing and playing with to be able to be perfromed, but it would be fun and educational to do so. _________________ Music is great by itself, but having music bring a story to life is unbelieveable!!!

| There was a cool busker in Sydney, he was playing saxophone and my friend asked him to play John Coltrane's Giant Steps and he played it so well. We gave him $5, he deserved it. |

yeah downside of woodwind and brass instruments...you dont get to breathe normally.
i remember first starting flute, i was gonna faint after 20 minutes of playing. xP _________________
