I'm not a manga fan, nor am I overly familiar with the work of CLAMP. However, this show is really quite something. I love Bee Train, their studio always works it's magic with me. Some people complain about this, and Noir as well, for being too slow. The slow pans and still shots to me are different and is what makes the studio unique.

Contrary to popular thought, I really like Tsubasa's soundtrack. Comparing it to Kajiura's Noir composition, it shows off her talent well. She can adapt to a completely different feel so easily.

Let's not forget the voice acting. Despite a lot of fresh talent, Tsubasa Chronicle is without a doubt full of well delivered lines. I'm not Japanese, nor do I claim to know the language well, but when compared to a lot of other anime, I connect with this one a lot more.

I could swoon on about this show for a long time, just like my 4,200 odd Naruto essay for cinema back in first semester. I'll leave that to you guys. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you get off your butt. Dattebayo and Live-Evil do a quality sub that comes out quickly, if you've seen DB's Naruto releases you know there's no point in waiting for another group.

Edit: I just realised I forgot to say what this show is for those that haven't seen it.

From what I understand the show brings together a number of CLAMP characters into the one world, but only their appearance and some of their attitude, not their actual character as such. It is essentially a romantic fantasy serial, in which the protagonists travel to different worlds looking for the lost memories of Princess Sakura. The art is lovely, but the pacing is somewhat slow, that's Bee Train for you. I suggest trying it out, I'm not very good with descriptions, plus I hate writing some Japanese in English letters (romaji) because it's annoying. People whinge about how things should be spelt, and I just don't care.

I've bought the first six volumes of Tsubasa Reservior Chronicles (The Manga)...

I have to say.. at first I was really disappointed with the anime. They cut out a lot of the funny bits and they screwed up some of the other bits... Syaoran's character I found very dull and emotionless... he was like, "oh... sakura is in trouble... I guess I'll save her ... or something." Well, that was certainly what he looked/sounded like! (compared to the manga anyway)

Plus .Hack//Sign really left a bad impression on me so I really disliked the style and the music... I mean first episode... wtf was up with Syaoran taking sakura by the hand and having her float in the air as he ran? The animation wasn't all that great, particularly with their cuts from one frame to another... it didn't flow right. So things didn't really make sense visually.

But after 7 episodes it really did get better. I mean HEAPS better by a factor of 100. In fact, I like it a lot more than the manga now. (For example, in the golden haired princess world... they changed the reason why children were needed to extract Sakura's feather. I prefered the anime much more because it made more sense.) The only thing I didn't like was that rediculous filler episode... that pissed me off but anyway...

Even now, I'm starting to like the music... I think they did a remix which I thought sounded heaps better.

I can't say this is the best of CLAMP's works though... I enjoyed Clover as a manga much more and Angelic Layer, MKR and Chobits as animes more.

ITs one serious whereby i am hook by seeing the first episode!, i just love the music they have in there its kinda made the serise work.

Second is how they got all teh previous clamp character into the whole thing, even though this lacks originality but its was satisfying to see some the charaters living a different life.

O yeah one question, have anyone see the latest episode 17 *spoiler* wat was wrong with Shaolin? i don't get it ? can anyone explain to me why he trained to fight with his legs..

Why do you think his right eye kept looking glassy?? He's blind in his right eye!

I KNEW they didn't make this clear enough in the anime. >< argh!! I mean in the manga, Kurogane actually grabbed Syaoran's head of hair and tilted it up and said, "And you... are blind in your right eye." In the anime - they kept avoiding and euphemising it... that irritated me. >< haha

I know what you mean about the idea of bringing their characters back. I got so excited when I read the sixth volume. Ora from Clover appears. I was like "WAAAAAII!!" >_< hehehe

I like Tsubasa chronicle. I might not love it. But I definitely love the music. It really really stood out for me. Made the series a lot better than it was...

haha the first ep, menchi mentioned. Sakura flying~ That really sent me going WTF too...
And the expressionless Syaoran... that did get me going wtf as well.
But yeh, it's probably getting better ^^

But what can I say, I've stopped watching since a few weeks ago. Will catch up later~

In the beginning yes the manga's heaps better... towards the later episodes... some parts of the anime are better, some parts of the manga are better.

Yeah... now it's not so bad because they've finally got a hold on their characters now...
