Ok peoples, Australia's first full length animated cgi film is soon to be released here and I just want to tell everyone to support it as it is going to boost the Australian film economy if it is successful here. And look out in the credits for my cousin's name as he was the 2nd assistant director Greg Van Borssum! |

Yeah its produced by the company named "Animal Logic" if i remember correctly...
anyway they were responsible for the singing animals in the Optus commercials and a lot of other excellent CGI thats seen all over the place. They're one of the best in the southern hemisphere i think. |

Animal Logic also did the special effects in the house of flying daggers among other things...
The reason why it was released in America first was because it was made using American sponcership since Australia couldn't afford it, which is similar to the babe films that were made in the 90s. Australian made and directed, but American produced. The good news is that because this film is doing so well in America, Australia's film industry is going to be placed on the map - but we should help it out as much as possible.
Also, happy feet looks so good is because they used a new technique in cgi that hasn't been used before - this being more frames per second. By placing in more frames than the standard 24 per second, the animation is more fluid and has a greater amount of detail.
Anyway, enough from me. |

| It's a toe tapping comedy! George Miller got a whole bunch of dancers to motion capture. |
