What a hectic two weeks it has been, and i have barely had the time to be able to write about the whole concert preparation period. So we had the 2 Sydney concerts last weekend and they seem to have gone pretty smoothly. I have only just returned from Melbourne (back to Sydney), and I have to say this Melbourne concert has been the best concert Eminence has ever put on in its entire history. I can safely say this because i have been with Eminence since the day it was formed. From both an audience perspective and especially an operational perspective, this has been one hell of a great concert. Sometimes even the simple change of MC (master of ceremonies) can make a world of difference to a concert.
There's still a great deal of work to be done post show, especially with media people, video editing, clean up, and not to mention working on our next Eminence concert. I can't give any details as to what it is right now. Perhaps it is the Anime Edition. I can not confirm this as of yet, but obviously its a safe guess considering we just had a gaming concert. As far as smaller concerts go, i have no current details as to when or where it will be at this time.
I cant wait to see the photos that the Eminence photographers have taken, and not to mention an edited recording of the concert.
Having met the 7 guest composers has been a most interesting experience. Each one is so unique and different, and each one brings a different personality to the table. Hopefully some of my associates will send in their photographs of the social times we had with the guests. Unfortunately i lost my digital camera for the past 2 weeks, so i couldnt take any myself.
Hmm, i think im going to play a little WoW (haven't played in like 3 weeks now). I'll have something more interesting for you soon.
LATE EDIT: I also have to announce that the Passion CD album was also released at this years ANIF07. This is our highest quality recording to date featuring the songs performed at last years Passion concert. I have been told that the Passion CDs have been a total sellout, so do what you can to try and grab a copy today.

Shiina san, one of ANIF 07's guests arrived in Sydney on Sunday. I had the pleasure of meeting him on Sunday night as me, Hiroaki, Bing (Eminence's PR and marketing person) Shiina san and Kameoka san (another guest, and also performing organist for the concert) went to Max Brenner on Oxford St, Paddington for some chocolately dessert. Shiina san is one hell of a funny and great guy. Despite our inability to communicate (his broken English and my non-existant Japanese) with each other, we both see eye to eye on the important things in life, like girls for example. Only good things of course. Naturally.
So today, Shiina san and Kameoka san went to the Easter Show. I am very impressed that they managed to get out to Homebush by themselves considering English is virtually non-existant between the two of them, aside from their electronic translator. From what i gathered having dinner with them tonight, they really enjoyed it, checked everything out including the smelly animals and prize-redeeming games. No show bags though. Oh well.
Well, it's almost concert time, 3 days to go. Unbelievable, it's really upon us, and we're all so stressed out with the work we all have to do to prepare for it. I've visited some of the management team in the past few days, and they are just flat out exhausted but they continue on like machines because there is no choice but to get the work done.

As you know, the Eminence Symphony Orchestra was contracted to perform the music for the Studio GONZO anime Romeo X Juliet. There is now a promotional video on the Romeo X Juliet website that features the music of the Eminence Symphony Orchestra. I've watched it, and I am impressed at the both the quality of the anime art and the music performance. This anime has recently begun airing on network television in Japan.
You can check out this trailer at: http://www.romejuli.jp/g_move640_2.html
Also, on our own A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Games Edition flash website, you will find that there is now some background music. We have been fortunate to have Mr Hitoshi Sakimoto compose an exclusive mini-piece for use on our concert website.

Just letting you know that we are still working hard. Only a month left until A Night in Fantasia: Symphonic Games Edition 2007. I hope you are busy organising your tickets now while the discounts are still available. I guarantee you this will be the best Eminence concert to date.
Of other news, there is a huge 5 page article about Eminence in the current issue of Hyper magazine. It talks about our recording gig we did with Studio Gonzo and their new anime Romeo and Juliet.
I have just had a recent look at the forums and noticed several user's comments about the lack of news updates. I apologise for not having mentioned the recording gig earlier. In fact, as one of the staff had mentioned, I was not present there as I was overseas at the time. In all seriousness though, one of the other staff members should have posted in my absence.
On a similar note, our main Eminence website has not been updated in a while, but the good news is that a whole NEW website is under construction. I have yet to see what it looks like, but hopefully that will mean more content on a more regular basis. Now that I am back in Sydney, and it doesn't look like I will be travelling anywhere in the near feature (except for Melbourne for ANIF), i've been commissioned to write the news for the Eminence main news page.
We had a small staff meeting last night at the conservatorium, and I can confirm that Eminence staff and crew are hard at work in preparation for ANIF. Usually at this time, our marketing team are in full steam to try and get the word out, usually by postering and flyering. Every year we always miss out on a certain group of people who would have loved to have come to our concert. So please, to our fans, let EVERYONE know! Word of mouth is our biggest ally, and is the sole driving force of the survival of Eminence. We know there are people out there who haven't heard of us and deserve to. But where are you?
Meanwhile, all you fans start telling Hiro to stop playing WoW. You can do this in his fan thread on the forums. Tell him to come play Rainbow6 Vegas with me!
