Macross Theme Song Composer Found Dead

As has been reported on the Japanese TV station NHK, composer Kazuhiko Katoh was discovered dead in his hotel room on 17 October. Authorities believe that the composer had committed suicide by hanging himself.
Kazuhiko Katoh is probably best known for writing the theme song to The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? which was sung by Lynn Minmay's voice actress Mari Iijima. Other works of note were his compositions for Windaria's "Yakusoku and the opening and ending themes for the children's anime Maruboshi Mabo-chan.
