Square Enix Announces 21 Disc SaGa Series Soundtrack Box
Square Enix's long-running underdog series, SaGa (including Romancing SaGa, SaGa Frontier, UNLIMITED SaGa, and what Americans know to be the Final Fantasy Legend series on Game Boy) is celebrating its 20th anniversary in August. If you want to join in the celebration, consider purchasing the SQUARE ENIX SaGa Series 20th Anniversary Original Soundtrack -PREMIUM BOX-. The box comes with 20 CDs and 1 DVD. The DVD contains interviews, trailers, and other special video features. The 20 CDs comprise the entirety of original soundtracks from the SaGa series.
At this point, it is believed that no new/original music will appear on the box set, so if you already own most of these albums separately, the box set holds no added attraction. But for new fans to the series, primarily composed by Kenji Ito (with some additional work from Masashi Hamauzu, Nobuo Uematsu, and others), you'll want to check it out. The catalog number for the premium box is SQEX-10145~65, and it will retail for 18,900 yen (approximately 200 USD at current exchange rate).
