Do you want to be a part of Eminence?
We are looking for volunteers for our next major project, ‘A Night in Fantasia 2009’ in Sydney, Australia. If you are passionate about bringing ‘classical’ music to a younger generation, and are willing to spend a couple of hours per week promoting Eminence’s goals, we would love to hear from you and join our ever expanding, enthusiastic and friendly team!
The Eminence Symphony Orchestra is NOT funded by the government (By comparison, major Australian Orchestra’s may receive between AUD$5 - $10 million annually). As costs of running a symphony orchestra and holding a concert are very high, we rely on support from volunteers around Australia to help us put together the spectacular concerts that Eminence is famous for.
As Eminence is a very multi faceted business, we are after people from many different fields. Below are some of the specific categories we’re looking for, but if you feel you can bring something unique to Eminence which has not been listed, please let us know!
- Poster Runners and Concert Logistics – An important aspect for people to know about Eminence, and help make the concert come to life. Posters are placed all over cafes, stores and hotspots in Sydney. Poster runners put the posters up, map down where they are, and check periodically if they are still up. People who wish to be in the involved in the logistics of concert operations must be available as poster runners.
- Website designer / graphic manipulator – Bi-weekly updates are needed to the website and are crucial when concerts and album releases are in productions / being marketed.
- Website moderator – To help keep our new website organised and up to date.
- Marketing / Press relations–Contacting the press, organising Eminence promotions, creating and sending out press releases. Volunteers will be working alongside our Media Relations company.
- Motion Graphics designers / Printed Graphics designers – To create the stunning visuals featured on screen during concerts, as well as pre-marketing and logistical material.
We are happy to accept previous Eminence volunteers, but they must apply using the process described here.
