Australia, October 10, 2007 - The Eminence Orchestra today announced that it will be holding two concert performances in Sydney on Sunday the 18th of November. 'A Night in Fantasia 2007: Anime Edition' will feature pieces from a large selection of anime titles, including Neon Genesis Evangelion (released earlier this year), Tsubasa Chronicle, Noir, Le Portrait de Petit Cossette, Xenosaga II, Porco Rosso, .hack//Liminality and Elfen Lied.

Yuki Kajiura will be attending the performances as a special guest, and is more than just a highly acclaimed composer and music producer, she's also a popular celebrity in her own right in Japan. Yuki Kajiura has scored several huge anime hits, including .hack/SIGN, Noir, Aquarian Age, Madlax, My-HiME, My-Otome, Tsubasa Chronicle and one of the Kimagure Orange Road movies. Yuki also plays with the band 'Fiction Junction' and is part of a trio of female composers called 'See-Saw'.

Hiroaki Yura, Founder and Head of the Eminence Symphony Orchestra said that: "We are really looking forward to having someone as adored by her fans as Yuki Kajiura here in Australia… Our concert program will celebrate Yuki Kajiura's brilliants works in addition to providing our fans with their favourite anime titles. It's going to be a great, comprehensive program."

Both concerts will be held at the Sir John Clancy Auditorium at the University of New South Wales, with the first concert kicking off at 3:00pm, and the second at 6:30pm. General admission tickets will be $44 and $55 for concessions and adults respectively (with slightly higher prices at the door), and go on sale on October 15th. You'll be able to buy them through Books Kinokuniya or Eminence's website.

Sounds awesome. My advice though is to check back in a few weeks for a website update and ticket sales.

Melbourne concerts are too hard to organise. Its easier for Melbourne fans to just fly up to Sydney.
You thought selling out the previous concert is enough to get them to come back down? For sooth!

flying? you don't have to fly... BUS! omg... Bus from Adelaide to Melbourne is fun! but yeah... should try and bus to Sydney... just make sure you take the express one, coz the one that stops is annoying coz it keeps waking you up! but then again, depends which one you take...

but then again, flights to sydney are about the same as a bus, so it's really up to you. but you get to meet random ppls on the bus, and some of them are pretty fun! xD

School certs mean nothing mate!!!

Unless you plan to drop out straight aftas to go to trade.
Or if you're trying to get into an extention subject based on last minute results (god knows I've been there).

Don't stress yourself on that ^^

apart from that, skool certs should start straigh afta HSC....
so the concert might not affect us HSC-ers, but it'll definately affect you^^

Are you serious about Melbourne concerts being too hard?

Does that mean we won't be getting any more in the future...?

Hmm; I wonder how the poster will look like for Symphonic Anime Edition...the one for the Game Edition was pretty kick-ass.

...;_;

Goddamnit, Kajiura's one of my favourite composers, and ANIF SAE was the event I was looking forward to the most this year. I hate you Eminence, for ruining my dreams.

Unless you make up for it by having another concert with her next year, that is. In Melbourne. >.>

PS: How much does a plane ticket to Sydney cost? :p
