Hi everyone, first post here and I am proud to support Eminence. The only problem with this is I haven't seen any performances nor does it seem likely in the near future. I live in Brisbane, and while the costs of traveling to a Sydney or Melbourne show are not impossible to overcome, the exam timetables make it very difficult. I have never liked any particular music enough to pay money to see a live concert, but ANIF is exactly what I am looking for.
So any thoughts about ANIF going on an Australia-wide tour? This is a long shot I know, and hopefully I can make it down there for the 2007 shows - but it would be amazing if Eminence could branch out a bit further! |

| since Eminence is sorta a new thing, i think they're just trialing it for a bit and keeping it restricted to certain areas i.e melb and syd. Since Australia isn't too big on the anime/gaming stuff as compared to America and Japan, the fact that a live concert is even being held is pretty awesome. Hopefully Eminence will brancch out a bit in the near future. |

We've had a couple of requests for Brisbane. You must realise though that in order to do that Eminence would have to spend a lot of money, and have some assurance they'd get it back. Unlike Sydney, any other city requires additional costs as I'm sure you can work out when transporting the orchestra around. We also have no staff or crew in areas other than Sydney and Melbourne, so I'm sure you can appreciate the level of difficulty we would face doing that.
I'm certainly not saying 'no way', I'm just explaining why we aren't doing it already. And Eminence isn't 'new', our first concert was in November 2003. Comments such as 'come to Brisbane' are noted, and we'll let you know if anything changes for the future. _________________

For you and any others who cannot attend any concerts, you can always consider purchasing one or more of the CDs that have previously been released. These CDs contain a wide selection of some of the pieces played at earlier concerts. All of the ANIF CDs were mastered from live recordings, so although it can't be compared to being actually at a concert performance, you can at least get a feel for what it would have been like.
Having said that, the online merchandising section on the website is still being finalised, so while you can't actually order CDs for now, you can rest assured that at least there will be an alternative available for you soon.
Slightly off-topic, but hope that helps. And thanks for your vote of support! |

That sounds great, I will be sure to pick up some CDs. I have the 20020220 concert recording, but would definately like a bigger collection - especially with Studio Ghibli pieces in there.
I'll definitely stay tuned though, because an ANIF attendance in Sydney, if I had the time and ample funds (the two respective reasons why I have not attended the past two years), is an absolute sure thing. As for Brisbane staff members, well, you can be guaranteed one right here! |
