Yeah, how on earth could you concentrate with access to WoW and your DS? ;P

And just to keep on topic...it was a pleasure to have met such a friendly and down-to-earth person such as yourself Hiro. And here's to hoping that I hear you play the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's theme song on your violin sometime... Laughing

Hahahaha...

"good" people indeed... Laughing

Helping out at Eminence last year was both fun and cool. Unfortunately, I was tied up this time around, so I couldn't help out with Piano Stories (and I definately wanted to watch the show this time around, but didn't get a chance at Eminence, because I was helping out). I'd definately like to have a hand in helping ANIF Melb to work out...so I'll try my best to juggle a full time job and volunteering to help out with ANIF... Smile

Hiro's performnace in Sydney last night was amazing. I loved hearing the pieces with the violinists on stage, it heightened the whole experience. I hoped the Cd would contain a song with the violin pieces but then again it is Alexy's Cd so his music should be the only tracks heard.

[Extra] It was funny, i rushed out to the bathroom and saw Hiro along the way. When i came back he was on stage and i tried opening the door final door to get in but i thought it was stuck. Pushing relentlesssly it wouldn't budge so i was about to go to the other entrance but remembered it was pull not push. Pretty smart considering i was the volunteer who was supposed to open and shut the doors for people.

haha thoru that was silly =P

ah yes, hiro you seemed so lost in the evening performance. but its cool, it was certainly funny =] you got your way with the audience. Makes it more memorable indeed hehe. - Loved the ministories you were telling, or maybe it was how you told them =P

also the deja vu with the switched stands O.o, how amusing - i wonder if that guy(the page turner dude) did it on purpose for extra entertainment.

funny how you told the guy you didnt need music for suketi de ne - having him walk on stage with the stand to end up getting rejected XD, oh and which by the way you played beautifully. (as well as every other piece)

i loved the song you guys played as a trio, forgot its name...it was near the end. i love violin with piano accompanment, sounds so niiiiice. also i wonder how you move around so much while you play, its difficult to start dancing around while playing any instrument o.o

and im also wondering, both you and ayako (and a lot of other string musicians) use the vibrato technique like..almost on every note...is that like a safe way of making sure you're not flat/sharp or cos it just sounds better? hehe

also...HEHE a chocobo is a BIG YELLOW BIRD - what a crack up =] made me think of sesame street.

Thanks for the hard work you put in the performance. (actually was it hard at all?) XP anyway, beuatifully done

good work on the last minute MC fill up too

Hiro was a cool guy
The mini stories and the small jokes he made on stage was also very entertaining.
I liked the songs with the violinists as duets, or as a trio with Alexey. The songs just seems to sound so much better when u got a piano, aswel as a violin playing.
As i was getting my autograph from the group, hiro told me he was going to play the FF VII Victory theme to finish off the concert, but he said ALexey forgot to do it lol.
Keep up the good work! ^^

If you do a Google search on Hiroaki Yura as well as Eminence Orchestra, you will find quite a bit of information on the both of them.

You should also realise that Hiro has his own website:
http://www.h1ro.com/

Personally, I reckon the following article is one of the best and most detailed ones out there on both Hiro and the orchestra (tho it specifically relates to ANIF05):
http://www.animefringe.com/magazine/2005/12/feature/10.php
